This was also the first AI that was ever created in history. However, this game never got super popular, so even though it was the first game ever, it isn't one of the most well-known.

In 1958, William Higinbotham invented the second video game called Tennis for Two on a large analog computer. The creation of videos games around this time was something that the computer programmers could learn from as well since it allowed them to branch off from the normal routines and challenge the computer's capabilities.

In 1962, Steve Russell invented this computer-based space combat game on the PDP-1 (Programmed Data Processor-1). This was also the earliest game that could be used on multiple computer installations.

In 1967, Ralph Baer invented a prototype multiplayer, multi-program game system that was playable on T. V. He licensed his device to Magnavox, which sold the system to consumers as Odyssey, the first video game home console, in 1972. Also, one of the Odyssey games inspired Atari's game Pong, which was the very first arcade game in 1972.

In 1972, Atari released Pong, the first arcade game, which was inspired from one of Odyssey's 28 games. Three years later, a version of the game was released to suit people at home. Disappointingly though, Magnavox, the company that owned Odyssey, ended up suing Atari for copyright infringement.
