Scout and Jem met Dill
Jem and Scout heard noises in their nieghbor Miss Rachel Haverford's collard patch. They looked over the fence expecting to find a puppy, but found Dill instead. -
Scout's first day of school
On Scout's first day of school, she starts off on the wrong foot with her teacher and beats up Walter Cunningham. Jem then invites Walter home for dinner. After dinner, Scout goes back to school and witnesses an outburst from Burris Ewell. -
Scout finds chewing gum in the knot hole.
While walking home from school by herself, Scout looks into a knot in a tree and finds a ball of tinfoil. After opening it, she finds a piece of Wrigley's Double-Mint gum. She is suspicous at first because she found in the Radley's live oak. After a couple sniffs and a lick, she deems it safe for chewing. -
Jem and Scout find Indian Head pennies
While walking home from school, Jem and Scout are talking about when Dill will be back. Scout points to the tree where she got the gum and finds herself pionting at another ball of tin foil. Her and jem take it home and open it. They find two indian head pennies. One from 1900 and the other from 1906. -
Scout rolls into the Radley front yard
Scout, Jem, and Dill decided to roll aroung in an old tire they had. Scout got inside and Jem pushed her down the street. She rolled down the street and right into the Radley front yard. While she sat in their front yard, she heard someone laughing inside the house. -
Atticus catches the kids playing Boo Radley
The kids have decided to reenacte scenes from Boo Radley's life in the Finch front yard. One day at noon, Atticus catches the kids playing.This causes Scout to ask Jem if they could stop playing for a while. -
The kids try to contact Boo
Jem gets the bright idea to give Boo a note via a fishing pole. While he is doing that, Scout and Dill are to look out for Atticus. Dill is to ring a dinner bell if he sees Atticus. Needless to say, everything goes wrong. The note won't stay on the window sill, and Dill ends up ringing the bell in Atticus's face. -
Jem, Scout, and Dill try to see Boo
The night before Dill leaves Jem and Dill want to sneak onto the Radley property and look in the window to see Boo. Scout goes with them. While there, the kids made too much noise and Nathan Radley heard them running away. He fired a shotgun into the air. In their escape, Jem gets his pants stuck in the fence and goes to retrieve them hours later. When he finds them, they are folded across the fence and crudely sewn up. -
Scout and Jem find two soap dolls
Scout and Jem find two carved, soap doll while walking home from school. They find the dolls in the Radley live oak. They notice that they dolls are in their likeness. -
Scout and Jem find more gum
The kids find an entire package of gum in the Radley oak on their way home from school. -
Scout and Jem find more presents
On their walk home from school, Jem and Scout find a spelling be medal inside the knot hole. -
Jem and Scout find the biggest present of all
On their way home, Jem and Scout find a pocket watch, chain, and alumimun knife. -
It snows in Maycomb
Scout wakes up and is fightened by the snow. School is cancelled so the kids can stay home and play in the snow. Scout and Jem make a snowman that is mud on the inside and snow on the outside. -
Miss Maudie's catches on fire
In the early morning, Miss Maudie's house catches on fire. Jem and Scout are standing in front of the Radley place at two in the morning. Scout is shivering. Without anyone seeing him, Boo Radley comes outside with a blanket and wraps it around Scout. -
Christmas at Finch's Landing
Scout, Jem, Uncle Jack, and Atticus all go to Finch's Landing for Christmas day. While there, Scout beats up her cousin Francis for calling Atticus a nigger lover. -
Mad Dog
In February, Jem and Scout were outside playing when the see an old dog named Tim Johnson coming up the road. He is acting funny, so they tell Cal. In turn, Cal calls Atticus and Sheriff Heck Tate to take care of it. Heck decides Tim has to be shot, but can't make the shot himself. He hands Atticus the gun, and Atticus shoots Tim square in the forhead. Scout and Jem learn that Atticus was the deadest shot in Maycomb County. -
Dill runs away
When Scout goes to bed, she feels something underneth it. Jem goes to investigate and finds Dill hiding underneth. Jem tells Atticus, and Atticus has Dill tell his aunt and call his parents. Dill is allowed to spend th night. -
Lynch Mob
Scout, Jem, and Dill go into town late at night to see what Atticus is doing. They see a bunch of country folks threatening Atticus and Tom. Scout sees someone she knows and runs out to talk to them. Scout breaks up a lynch gang. -
Trial of Tom Robinson
At the trial of Tom, Dill is disgusted by the way they treat him. Scout and Dill go outside and meet Dolpus Raymond. They learn that people will do that for no reason, and they shouldn't be upset. -
Bob Ewell Dies
While walking home from a pagent, Scout and Jem were attacked by Bob. Boo runs out of his house with a kitchen knife to protect them. In the end, Bob is dead. Jem has a broken arm. Scout has met Boo.
