colonist were sick of the stressful taxes that the British were imposing on them. So they dressed up as natives went to a British ship with 342 barrels of tea on board and threw them into the Boston harbor. -

The British Parliament requested that the colonist pay back the amount that was lost through the Boston tea party. -
