Seven ships sank, inclueding four pirate ships and the Bechalla. Hundreds of men died. Christopher dove into the water and grabed a long oar. He floated on the oar to the shore of Laso, Portugal.

Both of the ship arrived safely in Palos, Spain. After in the second week of Febuary there was strong winds, rain, and lightning. The boats were thrown all aroud the water. Columbus was afraid the ships would be lost. He saw King Ferdinnand and Queen Isabella. They had great honor in him. They even ask him to sit with them.
