M.L. king made his famous speech: I have a dream... that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin, but by the content of their character. M.L.King made the speech in front of the Lincoln Memorial and the National Mall.The president J. Fitgerald Kennedy initially opposed the march for security reasons. The march was a success and a few hours later Kennedy met King at the White House to congratulate on him.

M.L.King travelled for more than 9 million Km, made 2,500 speeches, wrote 5 books and the poilce arrested him 20 times.
Many people died: the civil rights march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama in 1965 is known as the Blood Sunday. -
Nella cittadina di Dallas, il 22 novembre del 1963, un tale Lee Oswald troncò a colpi di arma da fuoco la vita del presidente Kennedy. La dinamica dell’attentato e soprattutto i mandanti non sono mai stati chiaramente identificati; lo stesso Lee fu a sua volta ucciso nel carcere di Dallas a poche ore dall’arresto.

For the first time in SA's history, non white people could vote and choose their leader and the ANC party, led by Mandela, won the election. Nelson Mandela became the first black President of South Africa.
