Ferdinand makes a second voyage. Ferdinand went on another expedition to Melaka. The Portugese conquered Melaka in 1511.

While serving in Morocco, in 1513, Magellan was wounded, and walked the remainder of his life with a limp.

On September 20, 1519, he set out with a fleet of five fully supplied ships, but hardly enough to sail the distances he proposed.

On October 21st, 1520 Magellan found the passage he had been searching for. It separates Tierra del Fuego from the southern tip of South America.

In November of 1520 the fleet reached the Pacific Ocean, making them the first Europeans to ever see it. Magellan called it the Mar Pacifico.

On April 27th, 1521, Ferdinand Magellan died in Cebu in the Philippines as a result of the poison arrow.
