    When Mao was in College, he was the librarian's assistant. Since he had a lot of time on his hands in the libreary, he read many books. A majority of those were books about politics.
    The books he read allowed him to understand how politics work and that was also what pulled him into being a politician.
    The work he did as a politician led him to become the leader/president of China.
