Constructed on Kodiak Island, Alaska, Brawler Yukon is the prototype for the Mark-1 series Jaegers. On this day, Adam Casey attempts to complete a neural handshake with the completed Jaeger; however, he is only able to make one of the fingers twitch before suffering from neural overload and falling 200 feet to his death, wracked with seizures.
-
Sergio D'onofrio attemps a drift with Brawler Yukon but, similarly to Adam Casey, suffers from neural overload after making the robot take a few steps. Acting quickly, Caitlin Lightcap uses technology to link her brain to Sergio's, establishing the first neural handshake and creating the basis for the dual-partner system.
-
As a result of Brawler Yukon's successful demo, the PPDC approves the Jaeger Program and assigns Caitlin Lightcap and Sergio D'onofrio to Brawler Yukon.
