Although Christopher Columbus is considered as the founder of America, many other unknown adventurers discovered this land a long time before Columbus, such as Leif Erikson, a norwegian viking who discovered America in the 11th century. -
First slaves were transported from Africa to America
The first 20 slaves were kidnapped in Africa in 1619, where they worked with poor white farmers. They recieved their freedom and land after 7 years of hard work. But eventually, they lost their labour and became workers without rights. -
Harriet Tubman escapes
Harriet Tubman escapes from slavery using the Underground railroad and becomes one of the most famous leaders of the Underground railroad. She return back to help other slaves after her liberation. -
