Ferdinand Magellan was a portuguese sea captain who led the first fleet to sail around the entire world. On this sail Magellan left with five spanish ships with a crew of 240 men. Magellan had named the Pacific and the Atlantic oceans according to their voyaging conditions. Towards the end of the voyage Magellan's fleet decreased,and ended with 18 survivors. Plymouth was created by a group of separatists who belived that the English Separatist Church hadn't complied to the neccesary religious standards. Pennsylvannia was founded by William Penn inheriting its name in 1681. Pennsylvania had been referred to as a "bread basket colony" because of it's massive growth of bread and many crops. The Boston Tea party wasn't an actual "Tea Party". Samuel Adams and the Sons of liberty had gathered and poured approxiamately 342 chests of imported British Tea into the Boston Harbor. These colonists did this as payback to the British for giving America taxes on certain materials due to previous acts. This event displays importance for causing further punishment and hatred towards colonists. -
Declaration of Independence
The declaration of Independece is a document in which firmly states that America is a freecountry and is no longer a part of England. This made colonists become seperate from Britain. The document was formally declared on July 2 of 1776 but wasn't approved until July 4th/ This event displays importance for being a national holiday and giving the United States freedom from Britain. -
Winter at Valley Forge
George Washington had lead his militia to the location of Valley Forge due to alll the fighting in the summer of 1777. This location allowed Washington to keep an eye on General Howe's British army in Philadelphia. The experience at Valley Forge was rough and the militia suffered through cases of disease,starvation,and supply loss. Meriweather Lewis was sent on an expedition by Thomas Jefferson to explore through the northwestern interior of America. The Underground railroad wasn't an actual railroad or underground,but was a passage way used by fugitive slaves. The Underground Railroad was used to escape southern states to the North. The Wa r of 1812 was a war which was diversed between the U.S. and England. Due to England's attempts of control and declare power over the United States,this war had ascended. Donner Party
The Donner Party was a group involved in the California Gold Rush. This party decided to take a shorter route to California but faced terrible concequences. This party had got stuck in rough terrain and variuos delays. The party eventually resorted to cannibalism to survive the winter. Sadly only half of the party survived and made it to California. Trail of Tears
The trail of Tears was the passage taken as part of President Andrew Jackson's removal policy. The cherokee indian tribe was forced to surrender their land east of the Mississipi River to migrate in present day Oklahoma. This event had then been called the Trail of Tears by indians, due to its horrible acts. This event displays iportance for recognizing the horrendous treatment done to indians. -
Fugitive Slave Law
The Fugitive Slave Law was a law placed on anyone who harbored or knew of run away slaves was to report to the police or be arrested.This law restricted runaway slaves from getting away while in the grasp of political law. John Brown's Raid
John Brown was an abolitionist who led group of 21 enslaved men on a raid to the federal armory of Harpers Ferry in Virginia. Brown's party held out against the military for two days but then was eventually defeated. Brown loss many men including the capture of two of his sons. He was then sentenced to death in court on Nov.2. This event displays importance for acknowledging an effort to slavery's end. -
Emancipation Proclamation
The Emancipation Proclamation was a Presidential announcement which declared "that all persons held as slaves" within the slave states "are, and henceforward shall be free.". This gave slaves a future of freedom and prosperity. This event displays importance for being a cuase of slave freedom. -
Assasination of Lincoln
President Lincoln was assasinated at a theater in Washington D.C. Lincoln was killed by an actor named John Wikes Booth. Booth snuck upon Lincoln's seat in the stands and shot him in the head. Booth had then made an escape after leaping off breaking his ankle. This event displays importance for being the cause of Lincoln's Death.

Hernan Cortez was a Spanish conquistador who defeated the Aztecs.The Aztecs were a religous powerful civilization in Mexico. Cortes was anxious to rule them as a primary source in Mexico. Because of the Aztecs belief in a prophet which shared resemblance to Cortes;they perished. This event displays importance for being the cause of the fall of the Aztecs.
