With upgrades and innovations over centuries and decades still improving to today. telephones are one of the most important technologies made today. -

Email was invented in the early 1970s as a way to communicate on ARPANET, the precursor to the internet. It gained widespread popularity in the 1990s as personal computers became more common in homes and workplaces. Email is still used for computer communication today and I think one day make letters/mail vanish because of how much easier it is to write an email than write a letter.
