The Western Wall is located in the Old City of Jerusalem and is part of Israel's CULTURAL LANDSCAPE (cultural properties represented by the combined works of nature and humans). The Temple Mount is the holiest site in Judaism with a clear CULTURE REGION (a place where the common cultural characterisitics prevail). It is the place to which Jews turn during prayer. Challenge yourself to pray and place a note in the wall, it's a CUSTOM (traditional and widely excepted way of doing things).

Mount Sinai is a mountain in the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt. According to Jewish tradition, the biblical Mount Sinai was the PLACE, (4th theme of Geography) where Moses received the Ten Commandments, making it a SACRED SITE, (site infused with religious meaning). This mountain is an example of LANDSCAPE, (material character of a place). Start climbing the mountain at 9:00 PM. Take the shallower route, Siket El Bashait, and arrive at the top of the mountain around 11:30AM.

Take a cab from the airport and arrive at 7:10 AM for a muesum tour. Enjoy muesum and complete challenge.

Visit the Jewish Muesum and Tolerance Center and find out how the programs in Russia foreshadowed the events of the Holocaust. The Holocaust was a GENOCIDE, (deliberately killing a large group of people) where the Jews were REFUGEES, (people who were forced to leave because of persecution). This FORCED MIRGATION, (movement of people away from their home) is explained at the muesum. Stay for four hours and leave by 11 AM. Take a taxi ride to Treblinka Extermination Camp after checking out of the hotel. This should take about 1 hour and 33 minutes, so arrive to the site around 8:33 AM.

Tour Treblinka Concentration from 8:30 AM to 12 PM. View the awful lack of HOUSING, (a place of refuge), the Jews were given. Prisioners were forced to work long days, with no clothes, water, food, or PERSONAL SPACE, (the amount of space allocated to an individual). This concentration camp was used during the HOLOCAUST, (a mass killing of Jews in Europe by the Nazis). Reflect on your visit to this dehumanizing "camp" and write an essay describing the daily life of Jews who had to live here.

Eat at a Kosher McDonalds for dinner. View the ACCULTURATION, (process in which members of one cultural group adopt the beliefs others). POPULAR CULTURE (the phenomena that are within the mainstream of a culture) is represented in chain stores like Mickey D's. Pay close attention to menu item changes for religions, and different DIALECTS, (a particular form of language that is peculiar to a region) used by customers to order. Compare and contrast the American McDonalds experience to this one.
