The Montgolfer Brothers
The Montgolfer Brothers created the first hot air balloon flight but it did not have anyone on board. The hot air balloon burned old shoes and wool. -
The Montgolfers second attempt
The Montgolfer Brothers once again made a second attempt in making a hot air balloon as presented to King Louis XVI. This attempt was still not manned but instead there were animals such as a duck, sheep and rooster. -
First manned expedition
The first manned hot air balloon expedition by the Mongolfer Brothers, the passengers on board were Francois Laurent and Jean- Francois Pilatre. -
First Solo Expedition
The first solo hot air balloon flight is made by Jacques Alexandre Cesar Charles, the trip was 36 kilometers long at 3,500 meters. -
