The Montague and Capulet families have been feuding far before Romeo and Juliet's time. After the third fight between these two families in the streets of Verona; Prince Escalus has had enough. He announces that anyone caught fighting will be sentenced to death.

Rosaline, Romeo's soul mate of the week rejects him again. She cant marry him because ahe is a nun, and quite frankly isn't interested. Romeo's thoughts and emotions are constantly consumed by Rosaline.

Lady Capulet confronts Juliet about her arranged marriage. Juliet is unsteady about getting married, but she agrees to meet Paris at the Capulet party and let him gain her interest.

That night, Romeo and his best friends are invited to the Capulet party, despite the fact that they are Montagues' and are therefore sworn enemies. Romeo is reluctant to go, but his friends convince him to get over Rosaline, he agrees. Though, it's not because he wants to meet another girl.

Romeo and Juliet meet at the Capulet party and share their first kiss. Upon this kiss, the realize their meant to be They later find out that they're meant to despise each other, but it is too late.

Romeo sneaks into the Capulet orchard and overhears Juliet confessing her feelings about him. He he startles her by his presence. Then and there, Juliet tells him that she will send someone for him the next day to work out the details their marriage.

Romeo goes to see Friar Lawrence the next morning to ask him to marry him and Juliet. He reluctantly agrees, solely believing this marriage would end the feud between the Montague's and Capulet's.

Romeo and Juliet get married secretly in Friar Laurence's cell with the help of Juliet's nurse. Friar Laurence and the Nurse are the only two, outside of Juliet and Romeo, aware of the marriage.

Mercutio and Benvolio receive a letter that is meant for Romeo from Tybalt. Tybalt has challenged Romeo to a duel. As a result of the altercation at the party, Tybalt was thrown out last night but, not Romeo. Romeo never received the letter because he didn’t arrive home last night. Mercutio does not understand this, so he steps up to fight Tybalt.

Tybalt confronts Romeo to fight. Romeo isn’t willing to fight his secret new cousin-in-law. Mercutio ends up fighting Tybalt, but is killed while Romeo is trying to get them away from each other, then Romeo gets angry and kills Tybalt.

Mercutio and Tybalt are found dead by the the Prince, Capulet’s and Montague’s. Romeo is banished to Mantua by Prince Ecalus

Juliet received the news that Romeo has killed Tybalt. As a result is being banished to Mantua. At first, Juliet furious at Romeo, but then she came to realize he could have been killed by Tybalt. Juliet is so upset by Romeo's banishment that she wants to die herself.

The nurse arranges for Romeo and Juliet to spend one last night together before he is banished. They make their marriage official. Romeo leaves early in the morning.

Against her will, Juliet is told she must marry Paris this Thursday. When she refuses, an argument with Lord Capulet escalates. She turns to her nurse for comfort, but her nurse tells her to forget about Romeo.

Completely ballistic, Juliet goes to Friar Laurence for help. He gives her a potion will give the illusion of her being dead, for 42 hours. He tells her to take it on her wedding night, so she will be taken to Capulet monument. He informs her he will send a letter to Romeo to explain the situation, so they can run away to Mantua together.

Juliet sees her father again and tells him that she will marry Paris. Lord Capulet is happy and changes the wedding date to the next day.

Juliet decides to drink the potion on Tuesday night, since the wedding was moved to the next day.

Juliet is found "dead" by the nurse when she tries to wake her up for the wedding early in the morning. Friar Laurence ordered her to be taken to the tomb by the family.

Romeo's servant Balthazar hears of Juliet's "death" and travels to Mantua to tell him. Romeo gets depressed; he goes to an apothecary to get a potion that will kill him.

Friar John tells Friar Laurence that Romeo did not receive the letter explaining Juliet's plan. Worried about the possible consequences, Friar attempts to write him again and travels to the Capulet tomb.

Paris visit the monument of Capulet's with his page to put flowers on Juliet's grave. Here he runs into Romeo and they fight. Paris' page runs to get the help.

Romeo kills Paris in their fight. Romeo then takes the poison he bought from the poor apothecary and dies.

Just as Friar Laurence gets into the tomb, Juliet awakens and finds Romeo and Paris dead. The Friar is unsuccessful with comforting her, he gets scared when he hears a noise outside the tomb and dashed away. Juliet stabs herself with Romeo's saber.

The page and watchmen get back to find all the bodies. The last of the Montague and Capulet families arrive. Friar Laurence explains everything. Montague's and Capulet realize that their feud was the cause of their children's death and shake hands. Disappointed with the fact, in order to resolve the tension between them, so many people had lost their lives.
