Potsdam Agreement
After the Second World War, and the Tehran, Casablanca and Yalta Conferences, the Allies by the Berlin Declaration of June 5th, 1945 had assumed supreme authority over Germany. In the Three Power Conference of Berlin (formal title of the Potsdam Conference) from 17 July to 2 August 1945, they agreed to and adopted the Protocol of the Proceedings, August l, 1945, signed at Cecilienhof Castle in Potsdam. -

Lyndon B. Johnson
Lyndon B. Johnson (1908-73) became the 36th president of the United States following the November 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy (1917-1963). Upon taking office, Johnson, a Texan who had served in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, launched an ambitious slate of progressive reforms aimed at alleviating poverty and creating what he called a "Great Society" for all Americans. -

The Federal Housing Administration (FHA) is a United States government agency created as part of the National Housing Act of 1934. It insured loans made by banks and other private lenders for home building and home buying. The goals of this organization are to improve housing standards and conditions, provide an adequate home financing system through insurance of mortgage loans, and to stabilize the mortgage market. -

A soldier from Texas, won the congressional Medal of honor and saved the lives of fellow soldiers during the Vietnam War. -
Abby Hoffman
Abbot Howard "Abbie" Hoffman was a political and social activist who co-founded the Youth International Party. Hoffman was arrested and tried for conspiracy and inciting to riot as a result of his role in protests that led to violent confrontations with police during the 1968 Democratic National Convention. Hoffman came to prominence in the 1960s, and continued practicing his activism in the 1970s, and has remained a symbol of the youth rebellion of that era. -

made it illegal to deny participation in activities funded with federal funds on the basis of gender. -
War Powers Act
It has been disagreed upon by US Presidents since 1973 due to the fact they feel it is unconstitutional and restricts the presidential power to send troops into combat. -
Richard Nixon

Nixon stepped down in 1974, halfway through his second term, rather than face impeachment over his efforts to cover up illegal activities by members of his administration in the Watergate scandal. -
Fall of Saigon
It occured when the last American helicopter lieft on April, 30 1975. Communist forces took control of the city, and many evacuated by eventually becoming known as "Boat People". -
NAFTA
