    NASA rovers Opportunity, Spirit arrive on Mars
    The rovers of the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Opportunity and Spirit, landed safely on Mars and kicked off their research in January. They have sent back tens of thousands of photos over the past year and found evidence that water once existed on the Red Planet. It is the mankind's first-ever field geological study of another planet.

    Getting introduced my HUDGE family. Aunts, Uncles, cousins ( cousins to come), grandparents. Sadly I didn't get to met meet my grandmothers at an early age but I did later on (age 13).

    Many of my cousins are born past 2004 and in 2006 my cousin Marlen Perez was born amongst many others. I have about 10 cousins that are born in 2006 but she's more like a sister.

The worst offshore oil spill in history produced a swirling oil slick the size of Delaware.

    Each year I had a birthday party thrown for me. On my sixth birthday it was one of the biggest birthday I has so far. My uncle wanted it to be special so he bought a bouncy house, cotton candy machine, also clowns to join.

    Our first family vacation. We would often have eventful weekends going to fairs and having fun. But my parents always worked so we never had time to spent even a whole week off to be together. Finally my parents got a break and we spent a whole week in a hotel and going to seaward,Aquatica, Legoland, and bush gardens. We've been to amusement parks a lot but never spent a whole week nonstop together.

    Perhaps one of the more unsettling events of 2018 was the separation and detainment of immigrant children from their parents.It's hard to forget the images of the children in distress after the Trump administration's crackdown on immigration.Headlines were dominated by the event and caused massive outrage across the world. Although the government has been urged to move faster to reunite families, we as a country, have a lot more to do.

    My grandpa Teofilo Pedraza passes away. I was visiting Mexico at the time and I was about to take my flight in about a few days. I fortunately was there to say my goodbyes and be at his funeral not only for me but for my mother.

    I turned 15 years old. In Mexico this a big celebration for a young girl becoming a young adult. It took almost a year to plan and to rehearse. There was more than 300 people at my party. It was not on my birthday but a month after so we could have extra time to plan.

  • A loss in our family.

    On February 26th my cousin Alejandro Romero passes away due to a car accident. He passed a couple weeks after the accident. He was 19 years old and was a great loss and we miss him dearly.
