The toddler begins to form concepts, notices actions of other children and aduts. They love to mimic all actions, explore different features of objects as if studying them. Looks in correct place for toys that roll out of sight.And they show interest in new textures by rubbingfingers over surfaces.

Some large motor skill include standing correctly with only slight support, or stand correctly with out support for a short period of time.They'll cruise along furniture, or walk while holding onto parent's hand. They'll also crawl at different speed or over small barriers. Some small motor skills are that the toddlers grasping skills will improve, and can turn cardboard or cloth pages of picture books.

Toddlers remeber where objects belong, and will try to figure things out through thought process. They have a short attention span and tries to imitate the ways parents use objects. They enjoy working with shapes on form board. And they will be able to identify simple pictures in books such as "ball", "doggie" and so on.

Some large motor skills, maybe able to walk side ways. Walks fast and runs stiffly. They can walk into ball; is unable to kick the ball. They can also squat down smoothly from standing postion. Small motor skills, may show hand prefrence in alll activities. They like to grab anything and everything. They will add hand gestures to spoken language. An will begin to scribble.

Some large motor skills are that they can walk sideways or backwards. They can run without falling often. They can kick large balls without stepping on it. Some small motor skills include, holding two objects in one hand easily. Build tower of 5 or 6 blocks. And can use one hand more than the other.

Toddlers will have about a 20 word vocabulary, and will be able to process from simple imaginative play. They can remeber familiar objects without seeing them. Toddlers are interested into tiny things such as bugs. And can complete simple jigsaw puzzels of two to three pices.

Has a vobaulary of 50 or more words. Is able to ask for things using simple words, continues to ask 'whats that?' Is able to follow sipmle directions. Can match familiar objects. And is curious about objects in enviorment; feel squeezes, pulls and pushes objects.

Some large motor skills are bounces and sways in simple dancing movements. Can seat him/her self on a chair with ease, can jump with both feet off the floor. Small motor skills include showing increased coordintion and smoother hand and finger movements. Can put several blocks together to mkae a train or stack them to build a tower.

Vocabulary starts at 200 words and will increase to over 500 words during this period. They're able to use two-word sentences. Will refer to him/her self by name, then learns to use pronouns. They'll understand cause and effect in terms of own behaviors, and is better at planning out an activity and carrying it out.

Large motor skills are improving mototr skills as torso lengthens and baby fat begins to dissapear. Enjoys running but is unable to measure sudden stops. Climbs everywhere indoors, even in forbidden places. Small mototr skills include openning doors by turnning knobs. Can remove wrapping from gum and candy.

Vocabulary starts at 500 words and increases to 900 or 1000 words during this period. Creates two to three word sentences, including verbs. Can connect names and uses of objects. Can recoginze themselves in pictures, and can identify familiar objects by touch.

Large motor skills include being constant in motion, running or walking side ways or backwards. Enjoy games invloving running around and can go up stairs by alternating feet, but goes down one foot at a time. Small motor skills include turning doorknobs with greater strength.Can scribble and draws circle as well as horizontal and veritcal lines. Likes to paint using full arm motions combined with finger motions. And can eat with a fork.
