    A series of retreats by the Russian army after the defeat of the Garlice-Tarnow Offensive. The Russians retreated, loosing Poland, Kurland, Lithuania, and half of Belarus. As they retreated, the Russian participated in a scorched earth campain, destroying bridges and railroads and killing a bunch of Jews to cheer themselves up. The whole destroying everything thing cause millions of refugees to move to central Russia and the Ukraine
