King Philip's War did not have to do with a king named Phillip but with an indian cheif named Metacom. Metacom raised an indian rebellian against the colonists, who were not getting along with them for a multitude of reasons (land, food, etc.). It was an unfortunate war in that the only thing gained at the end was the victory for the colonists.

Attempting to re-exert control on the colonists after long saluatory neglect, This was the first act passed by Britain, prohibiting settlement west of the Appalachain Mountains. The colonists had a mild attitude about the matter. *Actual date unknown

Further attempt by Britain to re-exert control. This act was a poor way to raise money to pay off debts. The act cost 7600 pounds to enforce but profited 1900 pounds, leaving a profit decline of 100,000 (including smuggling as well)

The colonial assembliies couldn't print their own money so the British did, taking gold and silver in return.

A way to earn money off the colonists and re-exert control over them by Britain by taxing legal documents. They acheived this by making it mandatory to have a purchased stamp on every legal document to make it legal.

This was the turning point of the war for the colonists. George Washington was able to accomplish a big win, convincing more men to join the army, for many of the current soldiers were approaching the end of their term, and convincing France to support the colonists.

The last battle of The revolutionary war ended with the surrender of General Corn Wallas at the coast of Virginia in October 1781. The official end was with the Peace of Paris. The Peace of paris:
