    7 years war and pontiacts war

    Also called french and Indian war. It started when the french claimed some territory.the Virginia company opposed their expansion and that lead to conflict between the colonies with help from the British and the french who the natives ended up siding with. In 1763 the native American named Pontiac formed an aliance with other tribes and attacked British forts and killed many settlers. in response the settlers retaliated against all the natives Americans.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    In 1673 the king decided to issue a proclomation in hopes of stooping wars between them and native Americans because were expensive and exaustive. the Proclamation forced colonists to stay east of the appalachian mountains. the colonists did not like that very much.

    sugar act the sugar act was a tax on molasses and made stricter smuggling penelties
    the quartering act the quartering act forced colonists to house, supply the British soldiers
    stamp act Made it so colonists had to buy a stamp for their paper products. suprisingly the colonists didn't like this and proceded to protest and petition against them

  • Boston masacere

    The Boston masacere was a a conflict between British soldiers and the colonists. It started when the colonists where throwing rocks and waving clubs at at a British soldier a their post and still contiuing when back-up arrived.
    The Boston masacere resulted in 5 deaths but thanks to a lawer named John Adams only a few soldiers suffered penelties

    1973 the tea acts were introduced the tea acts actually lowed the price of tea because it could be shipped directly to the colonies.

    the tea acts gave a monopoly on tea to the British east India company.
    the colonists did not like that so on December 16th of 1973 they dumped a bunch of tea into Boston harbor

    Crazily enough the colonists did not like the intolerable acts so they banded together and formed the first contental congress.
    the congress demanded that the intolerable acts were to be repealed. They also wanted people to boycott more things and decided to meet again in May of 1775 if their demands were not met.

    The intolerable acts where the British's response to the Boston tea party it had multiple effects. They closed the port of Boston stoppying the imports from other nations. They limted the self govering of massatuchess. They also expanded the quartering act.

    The battles of Lexington ton and concord were the first armed conflicts and the first official actions of the war. the colonists were able to force the British to retreat back to Boston dealing a large amount of damage to them.

    it seem like their demands were not met by may of 1775 because they held the second continetal congress.
    there were a few key actions that happened that happened at the meeting such as they appointed George Washington. They also began printing money for the war. not on exactly may 1st first that's just for ordering

    bunker hill The battle of bunker hill was when the British forces decided to attack breed hill they ended winning the battle but around 1000 soldiers died.

    the battle of yorktown was the bacically the final battle of the war.
    in October of 1781 British forces were trapped at yorktown. American and french forces then proceeded to attack while the French navy kept them from escaping by sea. on October 19th the general surrendered which was the end other the war.

    The treaty of Paris was signed in Paris and it showed that Britain reconized the us as independent and it defined the nations boundaries in the end the revolution had many effect such as creating a new nation or inspiring other revolutions like the french revolution.
