    Piece of Antalcidas

    The King's Peace (387 BC) was a peace treaty guaranteed by the Persian King Artaxerxes II that ended the Corinthian war in Ancient Greece. The treaty is also known as the Peace of Antalcidas, after Antalcidas, the Spartan diplomat who traveled to Susa to negotiate the terms of the treaty with the king of Achaemenid Persia. This treaty was similar to the Thirty years’ peace that ended the 1st peloponnesian war.

    Battle of Catana

    The Battle of Catana took place in the summer of 397 BC. The Greek fleet under Leptines, the brother of Dionysius l of Syracuse, engaged the Carthaginian fleet under Mago near the city of Catana in Sicily. The Carthaginian fleet crushed the Greek fleet in the battle, leading to the Carthaginian Siege of Syracuse later in 397 BC.

    Boeotia is invaded by Athen generals

    During this time Athenian generals Demosthenes and Hippocrates planned to invade Boeotia. Demosthenes mistakenly sailed too early and landed at Siphae, where his plans were betrayed by a Phocian named Nicomachus. As Hippocrates had not yet arrived, Demosthenes could not attack and was forced to withdraw.

    During this time period, Ephesus was sieged by Persia. 12 cities were founded as a part of the ionian league and one of them was Wphesus. A battle took place in Ephesus which orchestrated the siege.

    During this period the first sea battle occurred. It took place in Corfu, a greek island in the ionian sea. Ancient Korkyra took part in the Battle of Sybota which was a catalyst for the Peloponnesian War, and, according to Thucydides, the largest naval battle between Greek city states until that time

    Polydorus, son of Phineus and Cleopatra was killed during this time. The Thracian king killed him after the fall of Troy. He was killed for the gold that came as a price for taking his life.
