A decade of flapper girls, speaksies (illicit clubs during Prohibition), jazz (the Jazz Age), and polarizing tension. The stock market was soaring post-WW1, anti-immigrant (mostly Italian), new vs old Christianity, and the consumers vs overexploited working class. The government allowed corporations to exploit and instead curtailed personal freedoms.
