Mannimarco tricks Emperor Varen Aquilarios into breaking the divine covenant shielding Tamriel, allowing the Planemeld to begin. People all around the continent are sacrificed to Molag Bal by the Worm Cult to bolster his power, including Sen-Ahhe Assarnibani.

Molag Bal attempts to drag Nirn out of Mundus and into his realm of Coldharbour through use of the Dark Anchors. Thousands are sacrificed by the Worm Cult in order to bolster his power.

Sen-Ahhe Assarnibani and Sovras Ursimannu are ambushed while hunting by Worm Cultists. Sovras flees, and Sen-Ahhe is captured. She is subsequently killed in a ritual sacrifice, and becomes a Soul Shriven imprisoned in Coldharbour.

Unable to continue normal life after the death of her daughter, Mira Assarnibani leaves Vvardenfell to embark on a personal journey. She becomes embroiled in the workings of the Ebonheart Pact by chance and ultimately visits the areas of Bal Foyen, Stonefalls, and Deshaan in mainland Morrowind, Shadowfen in Black Marsh, and Eastmarch and the Rift in Skyrim. After discovering the Worm Cult's true capabilities in the Rift, she realizes she still may be able to save Sen-Ahhe.

Mira Assarnibani and Lyris Titanborn successfully break into Coldharbour to rescue Sen-Ahhe and the Prophet, Varen. Lyris is trapped, but the others escape safely. Mira and Sen-Ahhe are stranded on the island of Stros M'kai: Sen-Ahhe is returned to her body, but her soul still belongs to Molag Bal.

Melle leaves the Clockwork City for the first time in his life to track down the parts of a legendary Dwemer automaton, the Ebon Dwarven Wolf.

Elanya is artificially infused with dragon's blood, becoming a Dragonknight. Her body reacts poorly to the transfusion, and with her newfound power, she attacks her father in a panicked accident.

After Varen sacrifices his life to save the world, Sen-Ahhe uses the power of the Amulet of Kings to defeat Molag Bal, ending the Planemeld. Sen-Ahhe's soul is restored.

Now somewhat accustomed to her powers, Elanya leaves the Summerset Isles for the first time to enlist in the Aldmeri Dominion. She is assigned to oversee two up-and-coming Khajiiti siblings: Shojiir and Do'naara.

Do'naara and Shojiir are recruited into the Aldmeri Dominion somewhat by chance on the island of Khenarthi's Roost. Elanya joins them as their overseer in Auridon, and Celesse is recruited as a healer in Valenwood. The team travels throughout Valenwood, Elsweyr, and even Craglorn.

Naryu Virian travels across the continent in order to assassinate the Seven Secretives, a collection of traitors to the Morag Tong: and, largely, her own friends and family. She is granted the rank of "Knower" following this.

Mira, Sen-Ahhe, and Melle work together with Naryu and Razum-dar to investigate a string of murders in Kvatch. Naryu receives an ominous prophecy regarding her daughter's hand in destroying the world.

Melle finally completes his mission to collect the parts of the rumored Ebon Dwarven Wolf and reassembles the ancient automaton.

Sen-Ahhe, Mira, and Melle are kidnapped by slavers upon their return to Vvardenfell. By the time Sen-Ahhe and Mira are rescued by Naryu, Melle has already been taken into the custody of Llevaros Telvanni. Soon, Sen-Ahhe rescues Melle, and Hound confronts Llevaros, ultimately killing him. -
Ulran Releth is exiled from House Redoran for defending Ashlanders from Redoran troops.

Nocturnal, Clavicus Vile, and Mephala ally in a plot to overtake the world. Nocturnal ultimately betrays both Vile and Mephala, but her plan is thwarted by her former allies and champion, as well as Elanya, Lanaren, Mira, Razum-dar, Valsirenn, and Darien.

Veya kills Redoran Councilor Eris, her father, in vengeance for the death of her brother Ulran and the many Zainab Ashlanders who died with him. Naryu refuses to kill another family member: instead, she and Mira send Veya to Summerset to train under Razum-dar as an Eye of the Queen to hide from the Morag Tong following this incident.

Buoyant Armigers Thesea Redoran and Arvarys Irathi investigate the sudden loss of divine power their god is experiencing, working together in an uncomfortable alliance with Mira, Sen-Ahhe, Seryn, and Veya to eventually trace its source back to Clavicus Vile.

In the ruins of Senalana, Shojiir sacrifices his life in order to destroy the Circlet of Elven Authority and save Do'naara, Elanya, Celesse, and Razum-dar from the collapsing ruins.

Shazah completes the rite of ascension and becomes the new Mane, the spiritual leader of the Khajiiti people.

Mira, Melle, and Sen-Ahhe travel to the Clockwork City and meet Seryil, a Clockwork Apostle and Melle's mother. Together, they expose Nocturnal's impersonation of Sotha Sil and save the city from her attempted invasion.

The mortals Cassipia and Little Leaf mantle the rogue Serpent constellation, taking his place in the sky as new Celestials and restoring cosmic order.

Veya suddenly disappears without a trace. Razum-dar attempts to contact Mira and Naryu, but the dead drops they use to communicate are pillaged by a mysterious agent before they can retrieve the letter.

Concerned by the lack of communication with Razum-dar, Mira contacts him directly, disregarding the dead drops. She meets with him in Shimmerene and discovers the truth that Veya has been missing for months.

Through use of the Abyssal Pearls, the Yahgra begin attacking Summerset. Z'Maja takes control of Cloudrest.

Elanya, Lanaren, Mira, Razum-dar, and Valsirenn work together to foil Aldarch Tilcalar's plot to sacrifice newcomers to Clavicus Vile in Shimmerene.

Elanya, Lanaren, and Valsirenn use the Dreaming Cave to rescue the Golden Knight Darien from the Spiral Skein. Mira is displeased to see Darien when they return.

While Elanya, Lanaren, and Valsirenn rescue Darien, Mira and Leythen take the opportunity to investigate the Ebon Standmount for information on the Crystal Heart's location. Mira's suspicions that Veya is the Earl of Nocturnal are confirmed when she interferes with Mira and Leythen's communication, but she keeps quiet about this for Veya's protection.

Lanaren, Elanya, Mira, Razum-dar, Valsirenn, Leythen, and Darien are forced to kill the shadow clone of Relequen in order to get to Z'Maja and save the other Welkynars. This results in Relequen's death, and Lanaren becomes a Welkynar in his mentor's place. Olorime becomes the new Wing Captain of the Welkynars.

The forces of Nocturnal invade Summerset, turning on their allies Clavicus Vile and Mephala. With Vile and Mephala's help, Elanya, Lanaren, Mira, Veya, Leythen, Valsirenn, and Darien quell the invasion.

In the Cathedral of Webs, Veya turns on Nocturnal at Mira's encouragement. Ulran the Crow betrays her and traps both her and Mira in the Evergloam, but they soon are rescued by one of Mephala's Spiderkith at Leythen and Darien's request.

Elanya, Lanaren, Mira, Veya, Leythen, and Darien storm the Crystal Tower to defeat Nocturnal. Leythen sacrifices himself to protect Veya from Nocturnal, saving her from forcibly being turned into a Gloam Knight, and Darien dies granting the Dawnbreaker the power to stop Nocturnal. Mira, Lanaren, and Elanya successfully defeat Nocturnal, reforge the Heart of Transparent Law, and put an end to the invasion.

Elanya abandons Summerset to continue her work as a Queen's Eye with Veya and Razum-dar, reuniting with Celesse and Do'naara. The group travels to Northern Elsweyr, where Razum-dar parts from the group to visit his family.

Ashur investigates Hakoshae to make sure his grandfather's writ to assassinate the heirs of the Akaviri Potentate has been completed. He meets Veya with the other Queen's Eyes and promises to keep her location a secret from the Morag Tong.

Abnur Tharn is tricked by Euraxia into accidentally unleashing the Dragons imprisoned in the Halls of Colossus. He sends a letter to Mira and Sen-Ahhe to ask for their assistance.

On the Telvanni Peninsula, while Mira helps Naryu complete a writ, Sovras seeks out and attempts to reconcile with Sen-Ahhe. He kidnaps Naryu in an attempt to track down Mira, but Sen-Ahhe discovers this and she and Mira rescue her and confront Sovras. Mira and Naryu finally have an honest heart-to-heart. Mira asks Naryu to come to Elsweyr to visit Veya: she responds that she'll think on it.

Hound takes Melle to visit the Bright-Throats in Murkmire. Together, they embark on a thrilling adventure through the jungle, through which Melle learns about his Argonian heritage and is welcomed as a long-lost member of the Bright-Throat tribe.

The Dragons, released from the Halls of Colossus, go on to terrorize Elsweyr and threaten the rest of the world.

Responding to Abnur Tharn's summons, Mira and Sen-Ahhe travel to Elsweyr. Naryu does not accompany them. They meet up with the Queen's Eyes and end up helping Khamira and the Northern Elsweyr Defense Force push back the Euraxians and Dragons.

The Northern Elsweyr Defense Force retakes Rimmen from Euraxia, and Khamira takes her rightful place as Queen of Anequina. The Queen's Eyes claim the Dragonhorn from the last remaining Dragonguard, who is hunted by the late Usurper Queen's assassins.

With the Mane's support, Khamira is officially crowned the Queen of Anequina after the death of Euraxia and victory at the Battle of the Moon Gate. She sends Mira, Sen-Ahhe, and the Queen's Eyes to Southern Elsweyr to meet with Sai Sahan and plan the next move against Kaalgrontiid, and Ashur departs back to Morrowind.

In the Valley of Blades, Sai Sahan retrieves the Horn of Ja'darri. He sets out for Pellitine to meet up with the Saviors of Anequina in Senchal and put the horn to good use.

Ashur returns to Morrowind after Khamira's coronation and speaks with Naryu. Their conversation is the final push that Naryu needs to go and see her family, and she leaves for Senchal.

When Mira, Sen-Ahhe, and the Queen's Eyes arrive in Senchal, Naryu is there waiting for them. She attempts to apologize to her family, but Veya only embraces her. The Assarnibani family is whole, and Celesse's sister welcomes the group to stay in her home in the city, Lucky Cat Landing.

After hearing of a Dragon taking residence at Tideholm, the group sets out to slay him with the crew of the Perfect Pounce, whose ship they retrieved from slavers. They meet Nahfahlaar, who turns out to be friendly and chooses to collaborate with them. The Perfect Pounce crew decides to officially join the Dragonguard.

In Black Heights, Elanya meets Ra'tahbali, a retired Dragonknight who has taken up residence in the town after traveling the world to help people. He sees how unstable her powers are after the fight with Yahgrondu and offers to give her proper mentorship as a Dragonknight.

After the group hears that Buzinda's daughter may have joined the Order of the New Moon, Naryu and Sen-Ahhe slip out in the night to track down the recruiter who convinced her to join, quickly running into each other and Caska. Though the three save Lahini and destroy the aeonstone sapping the cultists' lives, they are chased and nearly killed by Laatvulon. Mira and Veya arrive to save them and they escape together.

With the help of the ancient hero Khunzar-ri, the Dragonguard is able to reach the floating island of Dragonhold and kill Kaalgrontiid before he can complete his plan and ascend to godhood.
