  • Hitler Rises to Power

    Following Hitler becoming chancellor of Germany he would eventually gain control through the enabling acts.
  • Teachings of Race

    Teachings were being done around this time that the superior race was the Aryan race which the Germans were and all other races fell inferior to theirs.
  • Nazi Boycotts

    One of the many acts of antisemitism that Nazi's took against Jews was boycotting Jewish businesses, although this boycott only lasted 24 hours it lead to many more long lasting antisemitic actions against the Jews.
  • Nazi Race Laws

    Eventually Nazis set laws in place refusing German citizenship which would now be reserved for people with "German" blood resulting in Jewish people and such being denied citizenship.
  • Ghettos

    In 1938-1945 Ghettos existed as designated areas in which the Nazis used to move the Jewish population away. Ghettos contained very little supplies with a scarcity in bare necessities.
  • Kristallnacht

    On Kristallnacht also known as, the night of broken glass, Nazi's vandalized and burned down synagogues and assault on Jewish people occurred resulting in the imprisonment of 30,000 Jews and the death of 96.
  • Concentration camps

    From the years 1939-1948 Nazis took Jews from various different places and boarded them onto trains to be sent to concentration camps. Concentration camps were used to exterminate Jewish people in masses by gassing the people and cremating the bodies.
  • Concentration Camps get Exposed

    While these cruel behaviors were still being enacted on the Jewish people Eisenhower decided to visit a concentration camp to bare witness to the atrocities going on. In doing so he was able to shed light on the situation by encouraging people to see concentration camps to give them a true understanding of what was going on back at those camps.
