French and Indian war
1754 to 1763 it was a war between the French and British colonies over claim of North America. Each side wanted more land for furs and the clonies wanted more land for plantations. George Wasginton contibuted in this war. -
Treaty of Paris
The Treaty of Paris ended the French and Indian war in 1763. The British won the war and France had to hand over their land though they gave some to Spain there allies. -
Proclamation of 1763
This proclamation forbid colonists to go past the Appalachin Mountain wall.Britain didnt want any confrontation with the Native Americans and King George forbid them to cross over. -
Sugar act
The Sugar Act put a tax on all things with sugar or molassis in them. Many taxes were placed on the colonists. The taxes were saupposeed to let the colonists know that they were ruled by England but they only made the colonists angry. -
Stamp Act
All paper was taxed and there was a large boycott theand the stamped paper was sometimes burned. Another one of King Georges taxes that only angered the colonists. -
Townshend Acts
The Townshend acts were a series of acts that were meant to show that Briatin owned or ruled the colonists and could do whatever they wanted. -
Writs of Assistance
These allowed anyones house to be searched even without probable cause. Mostly looking for smuggled goods this only fuled the colonists hate. -
Boston Massacre
After much taunting and being hit by rocks and sticks a Briish soldier fired into the croud of patriets gathered. Five peoople were killed. -
Quartering Act
The colonists had to house and feed the British soldiers. You couldnt say no when they came knocking on your door. -
Boston Tea Party
A group of patriots ,part of the Sons Of Liberty, dressed as Indiands and dumped tthe British texed tea overboard into the ocean -
Intolerable Acts
They were a series of laws meant to punish the colonidsts for disobeying Britain and King George. These intolerable acts closed the Boston Harber, restricted the Massechusetes Legislator and much more. -
First Continental Congress
The first continental congress met in Philadelphia to discuss how they would react to Britains Intolerable Acts. -
Give me Liberty speech
Patrick Henry gave his "Give me Liberty or give me death" speechc earging colonists to join in the fight for independance. -
Lexington
The first shot of the Revolution was shot in Lexingotn and it was"Heard around the world" -
Concord
British troops were sent to destroy supplies being stored in Concord, they were stopped on their way at lexington -
Battle of Bunker Hill
Bunker Hill was won by the British though there were many casuelties .Americans were running out of supplies and ammunition and this is where the saying "Dont fire until you see the whites of theirs eyes." came from. -

Washignton launched a suprise attack and captured over eight hundred Hessian prisoners -
Battle of Trenton
The vivtory at Trenton boosted colonists morale and gave them hope, The British were relaxing after Christmas and Washington surprise attacked. Many Hessian soldiers were captured by the Americans -
Washington captures more...
Washingon captured another three hundred British soldiers at Princeton, New Jersey. -
Saratoga
Thousands of British and Hessian troops surrendered their arms. This was a turning point in the war it made France and Spain think that maybe America would win this war. -
Valley Forge
The American soldiers didnt have the right clothing for the December months at Valley Forge. Many died of starvation and frostbite. I COuldnt find the exact date that they arrived. -
War Ends
Cornwall was trapped by French Battle ships, he was forced to surrender and the war was over. -
The Second Treaty of Paris
The Second Treart of Paris made Britain recognise America as their own country. THey had to give over the land west of the Appalachian Mountains.
