Rosa parks was an African American activist best known for her role in in the Montgomery Bus Boycott. On December 1, 1955, in Montgomery, Alabama, Parks refused to give up her seat to a white passenger on a segregated bus. her act led to her arrest sparking a 381-day boycott of Montgomery's bus system by the African American community. It eventually led to a Supreme Court ruling in 1956 that declared bus segregation unconstitutional. Rosa Parks passed was on october 24. 2005 -
