What is it made out of?
Eyeshadow consists of base fillers, binders, slip, preservatives, and pigments; all of which have their own intricate ingredients. Base fillers are usually made of talc and mica minerals and kaolin clay. Common binders are zinc and magnesium. Slip is made of silica, nylon, dimethicone, boron nitride, and bismuth oxychloride. Preservatives are often glycol and tocopherol, and pigments are made from miscellaneous materials. Obtaining eyeshadow ingredients is part of primary industry. -

How are the raw materials processed?
The process of creating eyeshadow:
1. Base fillers, binders, slip, and preservatives are combined.
2. This combination gets blended for about 30 minutes to create the eyeshadow base.
3. Eyeshadow pigments are added and mixed into the base.

How does the product get to the point of purchase?
Before eyeshadows can be purchased, they have to be assembled and branded:
1. Eyeshadow combination (base & pigment) is pressed by a machine into eyeshadow tins.
2. Eyeshadow containers are labeled with the brandname they will be sold under.

Where is the product purchased by the consumer?
To sell eyeshadow:
1. Eyeshadows companies have to obtain retail space; this can be online, in person, or both.
2. Eyeshadow companies then have to use marketing strategies like the use of models, photographs, videos, and customer reviews to sell their products out of their retail space.
