The Baptism and Anointing of Jesus
The baptism of Jesus is seen as the beginning of his Ministry. Jesus came to Jordan to be baptized by John the Baptist, who tried to deter him by saying 'I need to be baptized of you, and do you come to me?
Jesus convinced him by reminding him that it must be done in order for the prophesy to be fulfilled.
Immediately after the baptism, God descended in the form of a dove and lighted on Jesus, and a voice from heaven exclaimed "This is my beloved son, whom I love and I am well pleased." -
Period: 30 to 42
Peter's Ministry
Peter's Ministry was one of encouragement to the people who were being persecuted for their faith, and clarity on the signs of false teachers. -
Tempted in the Wilderness
Jesus was led by the spirit into the wilderness where he fasted for forty days and forty nights. Satan tempted him trice.
1.To turn stones into bread.
2.To throw himself from the temple.
3.To worship him and be rewarded with the kingdom of earth. -
Jesus Begins to Preach
Jesus went to Capernaum (by the lake in the area of Zebulun and the Naphtali), and began to preach "Repent for the kingdom of heaven is come near". -
Jesus Calls his First Disciples
Simon Peter and his brother Andrew were called away from fishing, and were told "Follow me and I will send you out to fish for people".
James and John, sons of Zebedee were preparing their nets in their father's boat, and were called by Jesus. They left their father's boat and followed Jesus. -
Sermon on the Mount
Jesus, after seeing the crowd, went up on a mountainside and sat with his disciples and he began to teach them. Some of the teaching included:
The Beatitudes.
Salt and Light of the world.
The Fulfilment of the law.
Murder
Adultery
Divorce
Oaths
Love for Enemies
Giving to the needy
Prayer and Fasting
Treasures in Heaven
Worrying
Judging others
Ask, seek, knock

The wise and the foolish builders. -
Jesus Heals a Man with Leprosy
When Jesus came down from the mountainside, a man with leprosy knelt before him, pleading to be made clean. Jesus said "Be Clean" and the man was immediately healed. -
Faith of the Centurion
At Capernaum, a centurion asked that Jesus heal his servant who was paralyzed and suffering. The centurion had faith that the servant will be healed even if Jesus just spoke the words (He said he was underserving for Jesus to visit is house).
Jesus was amazed by the centurion's faith and exclaimed that he had not found such great faith in all of Israel. -
Jesus Heals the Sick
Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and diseases. -
Jesus Calms the Storm
Jesus was asleep in a boat with his disciples when a huge storm came and waves swept over the boat. The disciples awoke him saying "Lord save us, we are going to drown". Jesus reproves them for their fear and lack of faith. Jesus then rebuked the storm, and the winds and waves obeyed. -
Jesus Restores Two Demon-possesed Men
Two violent, possessed men came from the tombs and enquired of Jesus "What do you want from us, Son of God?" They begged to be sent into the herd of swine, and Jesus bid them go. The herd ran into the lake and drowned, and the two men were restored. -
Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralyzed Man
man was brought to Jesus. He told him his sins were forgiven and bid him "Get up, take your mat and go home". When the people saw that the man was healed, they praised God. -
The Calling of Mathew
Matthew was sitting at the tax collector's booth, and Jesus told him to follow him. Jesus then had dinner at Matthew's house causing the Pharisees to ask why he mingles with sinners. Jesus replied saying "For I have not call the righteous, but sinners". -
Jesus Raises a Dead Girl / Woman with the issue of blood
A synagogue leader asked Jesus to lay hands on his dead daughter. -A woman who had been bleeding for twelve years came up behind Jesus while he was on his way, and touched the edge of his cloak. She was healed because of her faith.
Upon arrival, Jesus told those gathered the girl is not dead but asleep. When the crowd left the room, Jesus took the girl by her hand and she got up. -
Jesus Send Out his Disciples
Jesus gave his disciples authority to drive out impure spirits and heal all manner of sickness and diseases. He instructed them to go to the lost sheep of Israel to proclaim the message "The kingdom of God is come near". He warned them and gave them encouragement for the journey ahead. The disciples went out two by two. -
Jesus and John the Baptist
John sent his disciples to Jesus, to enquire if He is the One to come, or if they should look for another. Jesus told them to report to John, all that they had seen and heard about his teachings, healings and miracles. -
Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath
Jesus' disciples picked grains and ate on the Sabbath. The Pharisees saw this, and pointed out to Jesus that his followers were being unlawful. Jesus replied by saying "The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath". -
Jesus' Teachings
Jesus taught using parables. He manifested to the people from a boat using parables, which he later explained. Some of these parables were:

A Profit without Honour
When Jesus returned to his hometown, he began to teach people in their synagogue, and they were amazed and asked where he got all the wisdom and power from. They took offence and He said
'a Prophet is not without honour, except in his own home". No miracles were preformed here because the people did not believe nor had faith. -
Jesus Walks on Water
Jesus dismissed the crowd and sent his disciples ahead of him by boat. He later went out to meet them, walking on the water towards the boat.
When the disciples saw this, they were terrified, thinking it was a ghost. Jesus told them to take courage and to be not afraid.
Jesus told Peter to come to him upon request, and Peter began to walk towards Jesus upon the water. Peter grew afraid because of a wind, and began saying "Jesus save me". He was reproved by Jesus for his little faith. -
Jesus Feeds 5000
When Jesus learnt about John the Baptist death, he withdrew by boat to a solitary place. The people followed him and he had compassion on them.
Instead of sending the crowds away, as suggested by the disciples, Jesus said they should give them something to eat. All they had were five loaves of bread and two fish. He instructed the disciples to give the people, after he had blessed the food. They were all satisfied and there was also leftovers. -
Faith of the Cananite Woman
A Canaanite woman came to Jesus requesting that her possessed daughter be made whole. Jesus told he that it was not right to give the children's food to dogs, but she replied "Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from the Master's table". Her faith was noted, and her daughter was healed. -
Peter Declears that Jesus is the Messiah
Jesus asked his disciples what they taught he was, and Simon Peter declared that he was "The Son of the living God". Simon Peter was then blessed by Jesus. -
Jesus Predicts his Death
Jesus told his disciples that he was going to Jerusalem to suffer and be killed. Peter replied "Never Lord, this shall never happen". He was rebuked by Jesus. -
The Transfiguration
Jesus took Peter, James and John to the mountain, and had them wait for him. He was transfigured before them, his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light. Moses and Elijah appeared before them and spoke to Jesus. A bright cloud covered them, and a voice said "This is my son, whom I love and I am well pleased, listen to Him". -
The Temple Tax
Peter was asked by the tax collector if Jesus pays temple tax. Jesus instructed his disciples to go throw their lines. The first fish they caught, he prophesied, will have a drachma coin in its mouth, of which they should pay for their tax and his. -
The Greatest in the Kingdom
The disciple questioned Jesus about who will be greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Jesus used a little child to demonstrate how the disciples must become, in order to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. -
Jesus and the Children
People brought their children to be blessed by Jesus. The disciples began to turn them away, but Jesus said "let the children come to me, and do not forbit them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these". -
The Rich and the Kingdom of God
A rich young man asked Jesus what he should do to enter the Kingdom of heaven. Jesus told him he should keep the commandments and sell his possessions and give o the poor.
The rich man, upon hearing this went away very sad, for he was very wealthy. Jesus said "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. -
A Mother's Request
The mother of the sons of Zebedee requested that Jesus grant her sons places on his left and right hand in his Kingdom. Jesus told her that the places in the Kingdom is for those who the father prepared it for.
He told the disciples that "whoever wants to become great among you shall be the servant, and whoever wants to be first shall be their slave. -
Two Blind Men Received Sight
Two blind men sitting at the road side begged Jesus to return their sight. The crowd rebuked them, but Jesus stopped in his way and called them, having compassion on them. He touched their eyes and restored their sight. -
Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King
Jesus gave instructions to his disciples to get a donkey, on which he rode. Cloaks were spread on the donkey for him to sit on, and on the roadway for him to pass with the donkey. Branches were also spread on the road and waved by the crowd who went before him shouting "Hosanna, to the Son of David. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest". -
Jesus at the Temple
Jesus drove out all who were buying and selling in the temple, overturning tables of money changers and dove sellers. He declared that the temple must be a house of prayer, instead the people had turned it into a den of thieves. -
The Greatest Commandment
The Pharisees tested Jesus by asking him what the greatest commandment was. He said "Love the Lord with all your heart, and all your soul and all your mind. The second he said was to "Love your neighbor as yourself". Upon these two commandments, all laws and Prophets hang. -
Jesus Annointed at Bethany
A woman anointed Jesus' head with expensive perfume from he alabaster jar. The disciples saw this as waste, but Jesus told them that the woman has done a great thing, she had prepared him for his burial. -
Judas Agrees to Betray Jesus
Judas went to the Chief Priests and asked what he will e rewarded, should he deliver Jesus to them. The price set was thirty pieces of silver. -
The Last Supper
At the celebration of the Passover, Jesus told the disciples that one of them will betray him. He also told Peter, that he will deny him trice before the rooster crows.
He then broke bread and said "Eat for this is my body" and gave them wine saying "Drink, for it is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for the forgiveness of sins." -
Gethsemane
Jesus cried out to God saying "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me, Yet not as I will, but as you will."
Jesus awoke his disciples saying his time has come and pointing their attention to the betrayer Judas.
Jesus walked up to Jesus and greeted him with a kiss.
As the soldiers came forward to arrest Jesus, Peter stroke one with a sword, cutting his ear off. Jesus reproved Peter saying " for all who draw the sword, will die by the sword". -
Jesus Before the Sanhedrina and Pilate
Jesus was taken before the Chief Priest, who accused him of blasphemy.
He was then taken before Pilate, who washed his hands clean of the blood of the 'innocent man'. The people asked for Barabas to be released, and for Jesus to be crucified. -
Jesus was Mocked
The soldiers mocked Jesus, by stripping him, and clothing him with a scarlet robe and a crown of thorns. The knelt before him, mocked and spat of him. -
The Crucifixion of Jesus
Simon of Cyrene was forced to fetch the cross of Jesus until the arrived at Golgatha. Jesus was offered wine, mixed with gall, which he refused to drink. Above his head, his charge was written "This is Jesus, King of the Jews". After he was crucified, soldiers kept watch. -
The Death of Jesus
At noon, about after 3, Jesus cried out to God "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?". When he cried again in a load voice, he gave up the ghost. The Earth shook, the bodies of those who died were arisen. The veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. Those who saw these things, proclaimed that "truly, this was the son of God".
