Greetings, my name is Anton Fick. I am a poor farmer who has just lost his farm and is living on the streets. When I heard at a local pub about this place called "America" having free land, I knew this was my only way to prosper and live a succesful life. -

It had been quite a journey, but I have finally made it to America with determination. I have decided to change my name to Hugo Malone as a reminder that this is a new life and I am leaving the past behind. I am a new man and cannot wait to live the American dream. -
Factory Life
This is not how I expected my new life to start off. I am working in a dirty chicken factory, barely filling my stomach at night. I expect to set soon, but for now I want a little money in my pocket before I start my American dream. -
A Ray of Hope
Factroy life has been tough. Longer hours and the higher demand of more work to be done has left me in disarray. I was starting to hate my new life until early this morning, when I arrived at the factory I heard some workers talking about moving west for "free land". I soon joined the conversation and found out that in a week a group of five people from work would travel west to start new lives. I asked to go with them and they agreed. We leave in seven days. -
The Long Journey
It has been a long tiring journey, but in the end our group made it to the campground before the landgrab with little problems. Besided getting lost a few times and nearly getting robbed, we made it safely with no sickness or losses. I am upbeat and can't wait to race for land in sixteen days. -
Oklahoma Land-Rush of 1889
The landgrab had just kicked off and I am happy to say I experienced no problems what so ever except for losing my father's compass. I have found a section of land right by a lake and have just setteled in. All these years have made up for the feeling I am having right now. Endless sky, beautiful land, everything is marvelous. I can't wait for what the lord has in store for me next! -
Farm Life
Life has been magnificant ever since the land-rush. Food has been plentiful, and I have made lots of new friends. I farm cows, chickens, and sell horses for very good money. Life is amazing in America and has impacted my life greatly in a very positive way. Germany was never this great and I am extremely glad to be here today.
