A Sad Day for the Nation
On my first day of PreK, the Twin Towers were attacked. My dad, a lieutenant in New York City, had to rush to the scene. This day traumatized my dad, and this was the event that made my family move to Florida. The lesson that I learned from this experience was to always fight for what I believe in. I learned a lesson before I was capable of understanding the extremity of the situation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-9TD3oQq3g -
Welcome to the Sunshine State
I moved to Florida when I was six, and learned that change isn't always a bad thing. It was tough at first, because I had to go into 1st grade at a different school. Eventually I adjusted and learned to appreciate the major weather change as well. New York Footage

What's a Hurricane?
Within the first year of moving down to Florida, Hurricane Charley struck. It was our first hurricane and we had no idea what to expect. My mom boarded the windows and we sat in a closet for hours. After the hurricane ended, I realized that preparation is key. Currently I use this lesson and incorporate it into school work, sports, and when I have to plan for something. Hurricane Charley -
Transfer
I transferred to Oasis Elementary School in 2nd Grade. Transferring was easy because the school was brand new, and I entered in its first year of operation. At first, I was really nervous but this experience helped me to realize that having fear about something that's inevitable is pointless. -
Student of the Year
I won student of the year in eighth grade. It was a privilege to receive this award, and I was beyond excited to attend the dinner at Broadway Palm. Upon receiving this award I learned that hard work does pay off in the end. -

Climbing the Ladder
Through softball at Bishop Verot, I've won several awards such as: defensive award, leadership award, honorable mention, first team, and I was named team captain. Receiving these awards made me to realize that success depends on my work ethic. -
Stepping Up to the Plate
My sophomore year I hit my first homerun. This was an amazing experience that really showed me the results of consistent work. Through this experience I learned that determination is shown through my performance. Batting Footage

Nearing the End
This is my last year of high school, and is definitely a bittersweet feeling. I can't wait to make unforgettable memories. As I entered my senior year I realized that time flies, and that I should cherish every moment. I came to the realization that in one year I'll be living on my own, and I will really miss my family. -
Go Hard or Go Home
Next year will be my last season of softball. I hope to make it to states this year, and have an amazing season with these girls. We've made some memories that I will never forget. Since this is my last softball season, it hit me that if I don't appreciate what I have the opportunity to do now, I'm going to miss it when I'm not able to do it anymore. Game Footage
