In Philadelphia was the first meeting in Carpenters Hall. Carpenters Hall was were all the colonies exept Gerogia sent delagates. They banded all trade with Britian untill acts were repield. Each colony began training troops. They were not readt to declare independence. -
Lexington
One of the first battles of the Revolutanary War. Were british trrops reached lexington. 70 Militiamen were waiting. -
Concord
First battles of Revolutinary wars. Britsih marched to concord, the distroyed military supplies and engaged in the battle were they were forced to retreat. 4000 Minuetmen and militamen lined the road from concord and lexington and shot the 'redcoats' as they retreated back to Boston. -
2nd Contential Congress
May 10 of 1775 the 2nd contental congress meet in philadelphia. Mebmer included John *& Samual Adams, John Hancock, Benjamin Franklin, Geroge Washington and Patric Henery. They all agreed to for the Contenital Army and geroge Washington was chosen as the Commanding General. -
Battle of Bunker Hill

Fighting moved to the middle colonies. The Britsih wanted to capture New York City, the center of the colony econmy. British attacked washingtons army on long island and inflicted heavy casualties. Washington avoided capture and retreated into pennsylvania. The Britsh will occupy New York City for the rest of the war. Washington was embaressed by the loss. -

American General Horatio Gates surroned Burgoynes remaining forces of Saratoga. Burgoynes surrendered his entire amry to Americans. it was a turning point in the war. Bejamin Franklin would help negotitate Treaty of Alliance with France and Spain. -

British General Lord Cornwallies moved his troops to virginia. It was time for washington to set trap. James Armistead was a douple spy and gave washington information. A Fleet of French battleships sailed into the bay and now Cornwallies was traped. Cornwallies surrendered on October 17 1781the Americans had one there independence. -
Treaty of Paris
Great Britian reconized the united states as an independent nation. United States gained all land east of the Mississippi River. U.S return all property taken from the loyalist.
