ROJ TV loses on the foreign lane
Eastern High Court sentenced ROJ TV for violation of Penal Code § 114 e on the promotion of the PKK, which the Court also find is a terror organization. ROJ TV was fined 2 x 5 million dk kr and was disqualified from broadcast television. However, there was one of the five judges who believed that ROJ TV was acquitted for having been the voice of the Kurdistan Workers Party, PKK, the following 14 days, the companies behind the broadcaster to decide whether to seek Supreme Court appeal. -
ROJ TV appels for Supreme Court
At a board meeting shortly after the judgment, the two sentenced broadcasters decide that they will not accept the High Court's decision and therefore apply to appeal before the Supreme Court. This will also be the condition for, if the Supreme Court's decision goes against the Kurds, they may continue the proceedings for Human Rights in Strasbourg,ECHR.
