My mother sewed most of our clothing, since I had many siblings and it was more cost efficient. Because of this, I learned to sew at a very young age. I guess that is where the fashion design drive started in my earlier years.

Spend lots of summers making and selling artistic t shirts, which I sold mostly at local flea market, to relatives and friends.

After much debate with my father to allow me to create a huge mural in my room, he allows me to...paint the restroom!! :)

Just one of the examples of a t-shirt I made. I took and used the pictures to show and get more orders. It was the 80's and I made t-shirts with butterflies, watermelons, flowers and I also Jackson Pollocked every t-shirt I could!!!

My Art Teacher helped me to apply for Fashion School in Arlington, Texas. I was awarded a scholarship to attend after submitting a store layout and Fashion line with 3-8 pieces of clothing.

During my senior year, my art teacher allowed us to creating a City Scape mural in the Art classroom wall. I can't wait to create many more murals with my students!

I moved away to Dallas, and married very young. As a result, I didn't enroll into Fashion School as planned. :(

My Art Teacher in High School inspired me to persue my dream. After finishing my undergrad courses in Art Education, I made sure to thank him for motivating me then and inspiring me to teach the Arts today.

I have a beautiful baby girl. It was a life changing experience. I remember created a large mural in her room before her arrival.
