Pacific Theater-This horrific event occurred on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. The Japanese attacked American's and killed many along with sinking ships and destroying there base. -
Pacific Theater-This was the first battle against the Japanese. It was essentially a tie however America then started to push the Japanese expansion back.

Pacific Theater-The battle of Midway was a major turning point in the war. The Japanese code was broken and we were able to destroy all of Japan's aircraft carriers.

European Theater-Very bloody battle between the Soviet Union and Germany. It destroyed the entire city. Both sides were not willing to give up.

Pacific Theater-This battle showed what the American plan was. Island hopping or picking strategic islands to eventually launch an invasion on Japan. America also gained control of the Philippines once again.

European Theater-This surrender is after much defeat from German expansion. Allied powers had closed in on all three sides of Germany and were able to lower its guard. -

Pacific Theater-The first Atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. It destroyed the entire city and became a gateway for new military methods. -
Pacific Theater-The second atomic bomb was dropped on the city of Nagasaki. The effects of this bombing were not as severe as Hiroshima, but still drastic. -
Pacific Theater-Japan surrenders on VJ day ( Victory Japan) after the atomic bombs were dropped on Japanese cities.
