Japanese: Second Sino-Japanese War
In addition to the the Second World War, the Japanese was also already in a long war against China. The war itself made up 50 percent of the casualties in the Pacific War. -
America: Placed a trade embargo upon the Japanese
Roosevelt signed the Export Control Act, which gave the President power to prohibit the export of essential defense materials such as aviator fuels, heaving melting iron and steel scrap. A week later, embargoed the export of oil to Japan. This action led by the Americans soon influenced European Allied countries -

Fearing a war close by, the U.S decided to register reserves at a limite of 900,000 due to the time of peace. -

The conscription bill which is the involuntary labor demanded by some established authority. 63% of all American Armed Forces were Draftees. -

This was an act that made the U.S able to export goods to Allide countries as a support during the war. -

The Japanese were already planning the attack of Pearl Harbor, and they made peace with the Russians so that they won't have to deal with them when the U.S declares war on Japan. -
America: Freezing of German and Italian assets.
Germany and Italian were the Axis powers, so freezing the assets would be a logical idea because they are the enemies. -
Japanese: Attack on Pearl Harbor
Japan was not happy with this embargo placed upon them. It restricted the goods that was needed for their invasions in China. Rather than to negotiate with the Americans Concerning the trade, the Japanese sent suicide bombers, aka. Kamikaze's in order to "scare" off the Americans. -
America: Pearl Harbor attack
2,400 men were killed in battle due to suicide bombers along with the 21 ships destroyed. The attack was a "surprise" and anti aircraft artillery were not fully manned by the crew. -

In order to obtain and seize more resources that were need to win this war, Japan invade the island of wake. Fortunately for them, they were able to capture the island. -

Only one day after the attack on Pearl Harbor, President Roosevelt declared war on Japan. Soon after, Japanese civilians living in the U.S were transported into relocation camps because of trust issues. -

Axis Powers in North Africa surrendered against the British and American Forces. Outnumbered and outgunned, this was a wise decision. -

At this point of the war, the Italians were still under the influence of Axis powers, thus, America had to weaken the captial before moving any infantry forward. -
America: Italy Surrenders
General Eisenhower announces the surrender of Italy. Italy waz a blood torn country, and was betrayed by their German comrades, There was nothing else they can do at this point. -

Japan invaded and attacked U.S airbases in China, however, there were no more offensives to China during this war due to the lack of resources. -
America: Liberation of Rome
The allies sucessfully entered the city of Rome, freeing the civilians from further Nazi control. -
America: D-Day invasion
The operation was to storm the beaches of Sword, Juno, Gold, Utah, and Omaha. This Operation was held because it was easier to start the invasion of Normandy through France rather than Italy. -
Japanese: Evicted from Burma
British forces under General Slim, with help from guerrilla-fighting Chindits led by Orde Wingate, evicted the Japanese from Burma. -
America: Liberation of France
U.S forces, who were aided by French rebels, liberate Paris, Capitol of France, from Nazi Control. -
Japanese: Battle of Leyte Gulf
Allied Forces invaded the Philippine Islands, and the Japanese showed great resistance protecting this area. This was one of the largest naval battle in history, consisting of 60 Japanese fleets. The Japanese fended them off even though suffering huge casualties. -

President Roosevelt died today, so vice president Truman will take office. The war is already near from over. -

Germany had the war turned against them. The Allied Powers invaded Germany's Captial, marking a turning point in the war. -

A few days after Hitler's suicide, Germany surrendered against the Allied powers except for Russia, whom they fought their own individual war. -

V.E day. This marks the victory and the end of World War 2 on the eastern front. -

1,000 bombers from America starting from this day destroyed many structures in Japan. Whenever a bomb was hit at a target, thousands of civilians died. -

Only three days after the Bombing of HIroshima, a second B-29 bomber another atomic bomb, but this time on Nagasaki. Due to the horrendous weather, the bomber missed it's target, however, still gave Japan another 40,000 casualties. -

Hong Kong was lost by the Japanese and was now taken control by the British. The Japanese were near surrender. -

After many years of hard battle, the Japanese decided it was time to surrender. The Naval blockade ordered by the Americans and the Bombings left their country in complete ruins. Although this was the wisest choice, the Japanese GeneralYoshijiro Umezu was still reluctant to surrender. -
