The paleolithic era was when stone tools were created, In this era,with the new found for metal instruments such as bells, gongs, african pianos, ext. were created. In terms of art, painting and carvings came out of the this era, many engraved or carved bones were used as hunting charms. -

Neolithic era
In the neolithic time ,a region shaped in the Middle East where humans began to farm. Eventually, the Stone Age humans in other parts of the world also began agriculture. Art expression in this time was mainly work of magic to communicate with spirits, through singing and dancing members of a clan or tribe. -

Ancient Rome
Rome grew from a small town into italy's tiber river into an empire taking most of continental Europe, britain, Western Asia, Northern Africa, and the Mediterranean islands. The spread of languages, alphabet, calendar, and christianity emerged.Theaters began to evolve with more additions. Theaters no longer only performed on dionysus celebrations when Alexander the great arose. Christian church disliked the roman theaters because it was based on violence, lude, and was sexual. -

Ancient Greece
The age where polis, or city state was invented. Small villages began to evolve by building walls, market places, developing government, raising armies, and collecting taxes. During the 6th century theater Dionysus with two maenads was celebrated in the orchestra. worship of dionysus was ecstatic by nature. Most all greek theaters were considered tragedy. -

Medieval (Middle ages)
This era is of European history where the fall of the Roman Empire and the beginning of the Renaissance took place. writers and artists started to look back and celebrate the art and culture of ancient Greece and Rome. Medieval dances were two primary sections, the first one was the court dance and the second the country dance. The dances during the medieval period were Carol, Basse Dance, The Egg Dance, Scottish Dance, and many others -

Renaissance was the rediscovery of classical philosophy, literature and art. Some of the greatest thinkers, authors, statesmen, scientists and artists in human history was apart of this time period. some important were Domenico da Piacenza, Antonio Cornazzano and Guglielmo Ebreo da Pesaro. The main types of dances were bassa danze and balletti. -
