The battle of lexington & concord started the american revolution. Which started cause the colonist were getting taxed without representation. Evidently the americans won that war and the british retreated back to boston. -

14th amendment passed
This law is another law that helps black's fit into the american stand point of government, laws, economy, and socail status. Granted citizenship and equal civil and legal rights to African Americans and slaves who had been emancipated after the American Civil War. -
15th amendment passed
The 15th Amendment to the Constitution granted African American men the right to vote. Declaring that the "right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude." -
