    The Signing of the Deceleration of Independence
    On July 4, 1776 in Philadelphia, 56 men signed the Deceleration of Independence. This was written to free the 13 colonies from the British rule. The British did not take this well, as they captured 5 men and tortured and killed them. More people had there houses burned losing everything they owned. Eventually the conflict between them sparked into the Revolutionary War, which the 13 colonies won.

    The Louisiana Purchase
    On July 4, 1802 a purchase was made of the entire Louisiana territory for fifteen-million dollars. The French, at the time, owned the Louisiana territory. They were involved in a war with Spain, and needed money to finance this war. Thomas Jefferson wanted to buy the New Orleans port from Napoleon, Frances president. Napoleon wanted the money he offered, and made a counter sale of the entire territory. For just 3 cents an acre, Jefferson doubled the size of the United States.

    The Lewis & Clark Journey was on May 15, 1804. The party consisted of Lewis, Clark, and other strong travelers.The party was hired to travel into the newly bought Louisiana Territory. It took a year and six months to travel to the Pacific Ocean. Along the way, they met and recruited a translator named, Sacajawea. She helped the team travel, talking to other African American tribes, and leading them through short routes. The Rocky Mountains were the travelers biggest threat, as a member died.

    The Texas Revolution started on October 2, 1835, and ended on April 21, 1836. The whole controversy started when Americans moved onto Texas soil for new land. At the time, the Mexicans owned the territory, but allowed Americans to live there. The Mexican government had laws to abide by, which Americans did. Soon, the Mexican government implemented taxes onto the settlers of Texas. The Texans did not enjoy this application, and battled Mexico.

    The California Gold Rush started on January 24,1848, and ended in 1855. The CA Gold Rush's uprising was when one man found a gold nugget in a river, Ever since that day, people from different countries around the world, traveled to CA to find gold. Many prospectors were not lucky enough to find gold, but if they did, they would profit in a huge manner. Prices for tools sky-rocketed, and people would kill others who had found gold,and then pay for other things they needed to finance the digging.

    On December 7, 1941, hundreds of Japanese fighter planes attacked the American naval base in Honolulu, Hawaii. More than 2,000 American soldiers lost their lives with more than 1,000 wounded. The day after the attack, Franklin Roosevelt declared war on Japan. Japanese allies, Germany and Italy attacked the US with Japan as well. This eventually became world war II, which America won.

The third plane was flown into the Pentagon, and the last crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. During this event, almost 3,00 0 people lost their lives, and more than 6,000 were wounded.
