Rose Sapp attended Ohio Wesleyan University from 1899-1901. She transferred to Emerson College and attended classes from 1900-1902. She brought Kappa to Emerson as the college's first sorority.

Phi Alpha Tau was also formed in 1902 at Emerson College. It was the first fraternity at the college.
