The Mongolian Empire is rising to Power with the help of Genghis Khan. They start to look to other regions to expand their power due to the lack of resources is Mongolia.

Beginning of Conquests

Genghis Khan would lead his Army on there first invasions into other territories starting there 16 years of conquests

Campaign in Siberia

Genghis Khan started his first conquest with the Tartars and fought them for Siberia. This was his first big win and helped expand his empire and influence in the region. This was the start of his almost 20 years of domination in the region and across the Continent

Jin Dynasty Campaign

The Mongol army would start to invade Northern China. It would continue in waves until the capitol fell in 1215.

Mongol Expansion to the East

Devastating loss for the Khwarezmian Empire

After putting up with 2 years of fighting the Empire falls and end up in the hands of the victors, the mongols. The Mongols were very tolerant and that's how they were able to get the empire so quickly because they didn't just go and kill civilians and let them live and were tolerant of them.

Campaign in the Caucasus

Having just finished up the conquest of the Khwarezmian Empire The Empire set its eyes on the Region of the Caucasus Mountains Near modern day Azerbaijan, Georgia, And Armenia. The main thing the mongols wanted to do int he Region was assert their dominance in the West to push away to her empires to think of invading them.

Caucasus Campaign comes to an End

After the Invasion the Region had to acknowledge the Mongol kingdom and pay tribute to the Kingdom. The Mongols were pretty tolerant in the region but did put mongols leaders in charge of the region so the region wasn't happy about that but they could still practice their religion and customs.

Battle of the Kalka River

The battle took place in modern day Ukraine. The Mongols were outnumbered by more than double. The Mongols used many of their tactics and end victorious in the battle putting there foot into European soil.

Focusing on the Eastern Portion of the Empire

The Mongols had spread there Empire all the way to Europe and have taken over the land that they had wanted. Their Empire now Spreading From the Mediterranean to the Pacific has spanned across the Continent of Asia. The Mongols focus now was spreading their Influence in the East more specifically Japan, Korea, and China.

Genghis Khan Death

Being of the most influential leaders of all time it was a huge loss for the Mongolian Empire. His reason for death is unknown but some events seem to suggest that he fell off of his horse and potential died to the injuries.

The Mongol Conquest of Korea

Goryeo Dynasty was in charge in the Region and didn't like the idea of the Mongols in the region. But after fighting, the Region had given in and fallen under Mongol rule. But the Korean still had their freedom and everything but the Mongols didn't really take it over they annexed it or adopted it. The Mongols reigned over the Koreans for about 30 years before they were kicked out.

Full Destruction of the Jin Dynasty

The Invasion has been happened and the capitol fell almost 20 years before this. But total destruction of the dynasty was achieved in 1234 by the Mongol Army

Yuan Dynasty

The Creation of this Dynasty Marked the Peak of the Mongol Empire. It showed how much one empire could takeover and control with just the influence of many great leaders. Manchuria was included in the Yuan Dynasty and helped fuel the country with the many resources in the region.

Mongol Invasion of Japan

The Mongols recent success in the Korean Peninsula Had given them the Morale to look even farther and expand their Reign. The mongols sent their first Invasion of Japan with many fighters and had captured some smaller Islands around Japan but they were unable to extend their influence onto the main island of Japan.

Song Dynasty Taken Over

Genghis Khan Grandson Kublai Khan achieved his first takeover and conquered the Song Dynasty. This Invasion/takeover had the Mongols make the Yuan Dynasty marking the first time in history that china was in power from a Foreign power.

Failed Invasion of Japan

A second invasion was planned and sent through but in the end failed. The main factor that made this Invasion not work was Kamikaze or the Divine Wind. The Divine wind was a Typhoon or Hurricane that swept through the Region and had destroyed most of the mongols ships and goods making it almost impossible for an invasion and making the Mongols retreat.
