Gettysburg battle lasted around three days of straight battling. Both sides sent there strongest forces. Each day was a hard fought battle until the third day where the north came out on top. Sherman's march is the captain Sherman was sent to fight this one village. Sherman went to the village knowing that it would be a hard battle.
