    I chose this image because this is when the conflicts began within the countries. The assassination of Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand on 28 June 1914 set off a chain of events that led to war in early August 1914. They began fighting and deploying their armies in readiness for battles, thinking each other was at fault.

    • Resolutions made by the Socialist-Revolutionary and Menshevik party calling for the continuation of Russia’s role in WW1 were accepted
