Saul lived to 72 years old. Saul had a lot of concubines and wives. Saul committed suicide after losing a battle, so he wouldn't be tortured by the enemy.

Saul was anointed king by Samuel when he was searching for his father's donkeys. Saul thought he didn't deserve to be king. But obeying God's command.

Saul starts to get prideful and begins to follow himself instead of God. He build an altar only priests were allowed to make. And he started sinning and wasn't sorry for it, so God rejected him as king.

God told Samuel to go to the house of Jesse and God would tell him which son to anoint. Samuel went through all the sons until there was one left, the youngest, David. And there David was anointed while Saul was still alive.

Goliath was a minimum of 9 feet. And the Israelite average height is around 5 ft. So almost double. Saul was the one supposed to be the one fighting him, but he was afraid.

Jonathan warns David that his father is angry and wants to kill David because he found out David was anointed, king. He shoots an arrow and yells "it is farther from you" and that was a sign to David that Saul was angry. David then had to run and hide and only saw Jonathan once more before he died.

Saul tried to kill David for years but never succeeded. David could have killed Saul twice in that time but didn't because he loved Saul and couldn't kill the Lord's anointed.

Jonathon dies in battle along with his brothers and father. Jonathon and David had a very strong relationship as friends. Jonathon and David both would have been willing to lay down their life for their friend.

David was a fairly good king. He made big mistakes but was always sorry for what he did. He was truly a man after God's own heart.

David tries to find descendants of his best friend after he died, so he could show love and kindness to him. Because Jonathan and David made a promise that they would look after the others children and show kindness. And Mephibosheth was the only one. And Mephibosheth was like a son to David.

Absalom was exiled for killing his older brother because he was mad for what Ammon (his brother) did to his sister. Joab, the commander of David's army was the one that convinced David to let Absalom return. Absalom later rebelled and tried to take away David's kingdom.

King Hiram was the Tyre king. He was very wealthy and helped Solomon a lot in building the temple. He was a lot older than Solomon and was friends with David.

Adonijah is David's oldest son and he wants to be king instead of Solomon. He ends of fleeing to the temples altar for safety.

The Golden Calves were built by Jeroboam. After the first few years of being king, he decided to make to golden calves. Since then, the worship of the golden calves never really disappeared and was a idol that was worshiped a lot.

Asa destroys idols and repaired the altar of the Lord. And he trusted and obeyed God and people from Israel went to Judah because Asa was such a good king. Asa offers 7,000 sheep.

Asa relied on Syria and not God. And as punishment, God says he will have wars for the rest of your life. And in his 39th year, he gets a sickness in his feet and dies.

Ahab reigns over Israel. He was evil and worshiped Idols. He married Jezebel and was alive when Elijah was. He reigns 22 years and is the son of Omri.

Then when it was Elijah's turn can and he prayed and God sent fire to burn up the altar, and everything around it.

Elijah is running from Jezebel and he is visited by an angel. The angel gives him food and Elijah doesn't eat or sleep for 40 days because of the food. Then he goes to a cave and God talks to Elijah. God asks "what are you doing here?" God also tells Elijah to anoint two kings and the next prophet. But he only anoints one: Elisha

Elijah puts his coat on Elisha. That meant that he would be the next prophet in the bible. And Elisha followed him

Ahaziah only reigned for 2 years in Israel. Moab was rebelling and they go to war. Ahaziah falls off a house and is injured. And Elijah told the king that he would die. Ahaziah sends 51 men to get rid of Elijah. God sends fire to burn up the 51 men. Twice this happens. Then the third group of men is sent and they beg for their lives. And Elijah spares them. Ahaziah dies.

Jehu Reigns over Israel for 28 years. He is going to the king and riding and the king's messager comes and asks him why he is coming and Jehu says "come follow me" and the messager does. And it happens twice. Then the 2 king comes to Jehu and they realize he is against them and turn to run away and Jehu shoots them with arrows. And they die. And he gets 2 men to throw Jezebel out a window and he runs over her after she is thrown down through a window.

A prophet of God told Jehoshaphat that he was going to win the battle. So Jehoshaphat told the choir to go in front of his army because he trusted God to win the battle. And when the enemy heard the choir they started attacking themselves till no one was standing. Jehoshaphat didn't loss a single man and won the battle.

Jehoram is Jehoshaphat's son. Jehoram reigns for 8 years over Judah. He is an evil king and does what is evil in he sight of the Lord. Jehu kill him.

Ben-Hadad wants Ahab's gold, silver, wives, and his children. And Ahab agrees. Then Ben-Hadad said I want to let my messages take whatever they want. Ahab said no. So they went to battle and the Israelites win.

Ahab goes to Naboth and askes to buy his vineyard and Naboth says no. Ahab goes home and starts to pout and cry facing a wall not talking to anyone. And Jezebel goes to criminals and they spread lies about Naboth cursing God and the king. And the elders of the city stone Naboth and Ahab gets the vineyard. And a prophet tells Ahab that all his family will be eaten by dogs. And Ahab goes home and repents and God says he will not destroy his family in his life time, but in his sons.

Ahaziah reigns for 1 year over Judah. He is the son of Jehoram and Athaliah. The grandson of Jehoshaphat. Jehu killed him.

Athaliah reigns for 7 years over Israel. She was evil and was the daughter of Ahab. Athaliah destroys David's line.

Machia tells Ahab he is going to die in battle. Ahab doesn't like this and throws him in prison. And Ahab disguises himself and goes to battle and is hit by a random arrow and dies.

Elijah is getting old and Elisha asks for double portion of Elijah's spirit. A fiery chariot with horses come and Elijah goes up to the heaven. Elisha then goes and splits the water and walks away.

A town needed good water, so Elisha gets a new jar and puts salt in it and throws it into the water. And the water becomes good.

Boys are making fun of Elisha and he curses them. And two she-bears come out and kill 42 of the boys.

Joash begins to reign over Judah when he was 7. He was a good king when Jehoiada the priest was alive. But after he died, Joash turned away from God and turned to Idols. His Princes and Serants killed him because he was a weak leader. He reigned for 40 years.

Jehoram the brother of Ahaziah, reigns over Israel. Jehoram wants to defeat Moab, so he wants allies. Edom and Jehoshaphat help him. Their armies haven't eaten or drank anything for 7 days. So they send for Elisha. And Elisha and God provide water in a desert. The whole desert was full of water. Moab mistook the water for the blood of the armies. So they went into the camp to get the spoil and are attacked by the armies. And they defeat Moab.

A woman was in debt and was threatened by the debt collector to take her sons away as slaves for 7 years. The widow goes to Elisha and asked for him to help her. And he said to get anything that holds liquid and pour her little jar of oil and fill up all the pots. And the woman pays of the debt.

J. reigned for 17 years in Israel. He was evil and did the sins of his father. His father was Joash and he was killed by an army.

A rich man and a woman had no children. They liked Elisha so they built a room just for him. And Elisha is so flattered, that he blesses her with a son. 10 years later the son dies and the woman goes to Elisha and talks to him. Elisha goes to the house and raises the son from the dead.

The priest tells him he can't offer it and he gets mad and God strikes his face with leprosy. His son reigns in his place. He also won his wars against the philistines.

Calls the Levites to cleanse themselves and to start over. They have to push the Passover back because not enough priests are cleansed yet. Hezekiah prays to God to forgive the people for their sins. They sacrifice a lot of offerings and the people start to tide again.

Assyrians want to conquer Jerusalem. He sends a messenger to speak in Hebrew so all Judah can understand what he is saying to scare them. Assyrians' King sends a letter to Hezekiah and Hezekiah brings it to temple's altar and asked God if he is going to let the king talk about God that way. God then kills 185,000 Assyrians that night. Then the Assyrian king gets assassinated by his own sons.

Hezekiah is sick and is going to die and he prays to God. And says he has no children to pass on the covenant of God so God spares Hezekiah and gives him 15 more years. And as a sign the sun moves backward 10 hours.

Hezekiah shows Babylon everything in the kingdom including the temple. This is Hezekiah's first big mistake. God isn't pleased that he did that so God said Babylon would come and destroy and steal the temple while his son was reigning.

Manasseh reigned for 55 years over Judah. He rebuilt the idols and was evil in the sight of the Lord. Manasseh shed a lot of innocent blood. He was the worst king in Judah and had the longest reign. Manasseh repented and worshipped the Lord.

Amon reigned over Judah 2 years. He was evil and worshipped Idols. His son was Josiah and his father Manasseh. Servants associated him.

Josiah reigned for 31 years over Judah. He did what was good in the sight of the Lord and found the book of the law. He destroyed idols and later he did disobey and went to battle and died. He had the biggest Passover ever. The streets were clothed in blood.

Josiah destroyed idols and idol worshippers. He also destroyed idols in Israel. It takes him around 10 years.

Josiah found the law/bible while rebuilding the temple. Josiah realizes that they haven't followed God. He reads it to the people and says there is destruction coming. But if we change maybe we change God's mind.

Jehoiachin reigned for 3 months and 10 days over Judah. He was carried off to Babylon after rebelling. So his brother reigned in his place. After a new Babylon king comes to power, he is released and is treated like royalty for the rest of his days.

Zedekiah reigned for 11 years over Judah. He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. He rebels against Babylon and Babylon comes and conquers the land. Babylon kills his sons in front of him and then take his eyes out.
