Hannah prays for a son.

Hannah was praying for a son because she had no children while Elkanah others wife had children. So she prayed in the temple for a child and promised to give back to the Lord.

Samuel

Period: 1129 BCE to 1017 BCE

He made David and Saul king. He was the first son of Hannah. He was a prophet who talked to God.

Samuel is given to the temple

He is given to the temple just like Hannah promised to while she was praying.

Samuel is called by the Lord

One night while Samuel was living in the temple he heard someone calling him and thought it was Eli but in wasn't. After he went to Eli 3 times and none of the times he called him Eli told him to say "Here I am Lord." He did that and God gave him a vision.

Jonathan

Period: 1062 BCE to 1010 BCE

Jonathan was the oldest son of Saul. He was a very good friend to David. He even helped David escape from his father. He was very loyal and kind.

Saul

Period: 1062 BCE to 1010 BCE

Saul was the first king of Israel. He was chosen by God but then he stopped obeying him.

Saul is anointed king.

Saul gets anointed king by Samuel. He was probably around 30 years old.

Jonathan and his armorbearer attack the Philistines

God rejects Saul

David is anointed king

Israel was at war with the philistines and the philistines had a giant named Goliath. Each day he would come out and ask someone to come and fight him but nobody did

Jonathan helps David escape

Saul was mad at David because he was going to be the next king and because people said he killed 10,000 while Saul only killed 1,000. So David plans to flee because he thought Saul was going to kill him. Jonathan and him made a plan. David would hide and Jonathan would Ask Saul about David and Depending on his response it would signal if he would have to leave or not.

He was the youngest son of Jessie and was anointed king by Samuel. He ruled Israel for 40 years has king.

David commits adultery with Bathsheba

While David should have been out at war he was in his palace. One day he saw Bathsheba bathing on her roof. Then he got her pregnant. To Cover it up he invited her husband home but he refused to go to his house. So he had him kill in war and took Bathsheba in so nobody would find out.

Amnon raped Tamar

Amnon fell in love with his half sister Tamar, so he fakes being sick and ask for Tamar to feed him alone. When everybody leaves he rapes her, and then sends her away. Then 2 years later Tamar's full brother kills him.

Solomon

Period: 989 BCE to 930 BCE

He was the son of David who became the next king. He had 700 wives and 300 concubines'. Then he started worshiping there gods. He worshiped the two worse gods. Then God came to him and took the blessings from him. It was never said if he actually repented.

David flees Jerusalem

975 BCE

After Absalom commits treason against David and took all of the kingdom except Judah with him David has to flee Jerusalem so he wouldn't kill him. After a Absalom dies David takes the kingdom back.

Solomon and the baby

Two women came to him. During the night one woman killed her son and then switched her dead son with the others ladies alive son. So Solomon said" cut the child in half." One said ok while the other said that the other lady said that the other woman can have the baby. That was the real mother got her baby back.

Solomon wisdom

God goes to Solomon in a dream and said "I will give you anything you ask." So Solomon asks for wisdom. God was happy that he asked for wisdom and not money or something else. So he gave him wealth, long life and peace with his enimies.

David gathers supplies to build the tabernacle

David gathers supplies to build the temple but does not build because God said so. So Solomon builds the temple

Jeroboam and Ahijah

He was a servant of Solomon. Solomon put in charge of the tribe of Joseph. Then the prophet Ahijah said he would rule ten of the tribes. The other two would go to Solomon's son. Solomon tries to kill him so he ran away.

He rules 17 years.

Jeroboam

Period: 931 BCE to 920 BCE

He wanted to war against Israel but God sent prophets to stop him. So he fortified all the cities of Judah. After Jeroboam made the golden calf's the Levites went back to him and he made some priest to God and some to his idols. He had lots of wives and concubines'.

Rehoboam Revolt

930 BCE

He was crowned king then after that Jeroboam came back from Egypt. Israel asked Rehoboam to lower the taxes so he told them to wait 3 days. After 3 days He said he will raise the taxes. They rebelled against him. he ruled 22 years.

His son gets sick so he sent his wife who was in disguise to the Ahijah who prophesied the his son would be King. He said the moment she goes home her son will die. He died.

Nadab king of Israel

Period: 920 BCE to 918 BCE

He was the son of Jeroboam and only ruled 2 years because a general over thru him.

Baasha King of Israel

Period: 918 BCE to 894 BCE

He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. He killed Nadab.

Abijah king of Judah

Period: 913 BCE to 910 BCE

He ruled in Judah. And he had 14 wives and worshiped idols. He fights against Jeroboam and Jeroboam circles him but the people cry out to God so God delivers them. He was a bad king.

Asa king of Judah

Period: 910 BCE to 870 BCE

He was a good king. Ethiopia went up against him and he called on the Lord and they won. He then destroyed all the Idols and would kill anybody who worshiped an Idol. He even demoted his own Grandmother. He goes to the king of Siryah ask for him to help him to go against the Israel. God sent a prophet and he locked him up. He fell sick.

Elijah

Period: 900 BCE to 846 BCE

He was a prophet who was one of the most important. He taught Elisha.

Elah King of Israel

Period: 894 BCE to 892 BCE

He was the son of Baasha and was evil.

Zimri

892 BCE

He was evil. He only reigned 7 days. He Burned down the palace with him it and he died.

Omri King of Israel

He was the evilest king of all up to this point.

Ahab king of Israel

Period: 880 BCE to 858 BCE

He was the worst king that Israel. He did evil in the sight of the Lord. His wife was Jezebel. He worshiped lots of false gods and he died in battle.

Neboth's vineyard

Ahab wanted Neboth's vineyard but Neboth refused to give it to him so Ahab went home and pouted. Jezebel then sent a message to the elders saying get 2 false witness against him. they did and they said he cursed God and the king so they stoned him to death and Ahab got the vineyard.

Jehoshaphat king of Judah

Period: 870 BCE to 845 BCE

He ruled for 25 years and was a good king. He got rid of idols. He made a treaty with Ahab and had his son and Ahab's daughters married. He also made a trading treaty with Ahab's son. He was mainly a good king. He also sent judges out and priest to teach the people.

Ahaziah king of Isreal

Period: 858 BCE to 856 BCE

he ruled two years and died because he fell and he sacrificed to a idol so Elijah said he would die and he did. He was the son of Ahab

Jehoram king of Israel

Period: 856 BCE to 844 BCE

He ruled for 12 years and was also the son Ahab. He went to war against Moab with Jehoshaphat and they won.

Jehoshaphat wars against other nations

848 BCE

3 other nations came up against him and he prayed to God and a man in the crowd said they would win so they sang praises and the other amries got scared and killed each other.

Naaman is healed

Naaman was a commander of the Syrian army who had leporsy and was healed by washing in the Jordan river 7 times.

Horses and Chariots

The Syrians has a meeting and said were they were going top camp and Elisha knew were they were going to camp and he told the king. This happened multiple times and eventually the king of Syrians asked who was the traitor and they said it was Elisha he can hear what you say in your bedroom. So he sends the army after him and they surround him and Elisha prays for God to blind them and God does. Then Elisha leads them the whole was back to Syria and then heals them feeds them and send them home

he was evil and God cursed him but he did not turn from sin so God cursed him again. The curse was an uncurbable sickness that made his insides fall out.

He killed lots of people including the all descendance of Ahab because that's what God told him to do. He got rid of all the worshipers of baal. He was the best king Israel had but he still worshiped the golden calf. So God said that his kingdom will only last 4 generations.

Ahaziah king of Judah

Was grandchild of Ahab and Jezebel.

Athaliah queen of Judah

Period: 837 BCE to 830 BCE

was the son of Ahab and Jezebel. When her son who was king died she killed all of the royal house and became queen. She was evil.

Joash King of Judah

Period: 830 BCE to 790 BCE

He was crowned king when he was 7. His uncle Jehoiada was his consoler has long had he lived. After Jehoiada died he turned away from God and worshiped Idols because he listened to the princes of Judah. He died because he was prisoned by his servants because he killed his cousin/ adopted brother in the temple and he would have been the next high priest.

Jehoahaz king of Israel

Period: 816 BCE to 799 BCE

he was a bad king and was fighting against the Syrians and they were losing really badly so they called out to God and God sent a person to save them but then he continued to worship idols. So then God stopped helping him. And they had a really small army at the end of his reign.

Jehoash King of Israel

Period: 799 BCE to 782 BCE

He was and evil king and went to visit Elisha and Elisha told him to shoot an arrow out the window. And then he told him to hit the arrows against the ground. He did it only 3 times. So he would only win three times and continue to lose. Elisha dies immediately after that. loses most of the cities of Israel.

Amaziah King of Judah

Period: 790 BCE to 761 BCE

Starts good ends bad. The first thing he does is kill the people who killed his dad. He was getting ready to fight against Edom and ask Israel to help. A prophet tells him to not let the Israelites go with him. He listened and brought back the spoil and some of the spoil they brought back was idols and started worshiping them. A prophet went to warn him but he did not listen. Then he fights Israel and Israel defeats them and takes the idols. Gets killed by conspires.

Jeroboam the second king of Israel

Period: 782 BCE to 741 BCE

He was evil and ruled 41 years. He worshiped idols.

Uzziah king of Judah

Period: 761 BCE to 709 BCE

He was a good king. He was 16 when he started to rule, he ruled 52 years. God helped him defeat the philistines. He became prideful and turned away from God so God punished him with leprosies for the rest of his life.

Zechariah king of Israel

741 BCE

He ruled for 6 months. And did what was evil. Shallum killed him.

Menahem king of Israel

Period: 741 BCE to 731 BCE

He kill the king before him ruled 10 years. he was evil. He gave money to the king of Assyria. Cut pregnant woman open and kill their babies.

He was a prophet.

Was evil. ruled 2 years. Pekah killed him.

Was evil. He killed the king before him. Assyria defeated them.

Jotham king of Judah

He was the Son of Uzziah and he was a good king. He ruled 16 years. Nothing bad is said about him. He did everything his father did except going into the temple.

Ahaz King of Judah

Period: 695 BCE to 669 BCE

He was evil. He ruled 16 years. As punishment for his sin he would lose battles to Israel, Syariah, and Assyria. Israel took 200,000 people captive from Judah and sent them back with food and spoil. Then the Syariah attacked them and they lost. He also moves the alter of God from out of the temple to the side of his house.

Hezekiah King of Judah

Period: 669 BCE to 640 BCE

He was a good king and ruled 29 years.

Hezekiah's Passover

656 BCE

He decided to celebrate the Passover and clean the temple. It was not at the normal time because the usual time had already happened.

Hezekiah battles the Assyrians

647 BCE

The Assyrian king sent a messenger that said if you surrender now and come to our countries you will get vineyards and stuff. They did not surrender and prayed to God so when the Assyrians came God sent down the angle of the Lord which killed the army.

Hezekiah's sickness

He was sick and Isaiah said he would die. Then Hezekiah prayed to God that he would live longer. So Isaiah said that he would live another 15 years. Has proof God made the sun go back 10 hours.

Hezekiah's and the Babylonians

646 BCE

The Babylonians found out that it was Hezekiah who made the son go backwards so they visited him. So Hezekiah shows them everything including the temple. So Isaiah said that the Babylonians should defeat them because he showed them the temple. But it would not happen in his time but his son.

Manasseh King of Judah

Period: 640 BCE to 585 BCE

He was the worse king ever even worse than Ahab and he ruled 55 years. He worshiped lots of idol killed lots of innocent people. So God handed him over to the Assyrians and was sold into slavery to the Babylonia. Then he humbled himself to God and God forgives him and God lets him go back to Judah. He destroyed all the idols. And dies a good king.

Amon

Period: 585 BCE to 583 BCE

He was evil and ruled 2 years. He worshiped all the idols that his father did before he repented. His servant killed him.

Josiah king of Judah

Period: 583 BCE to 552 BCE

He was a good king and ruled 31 years. He started ruling when he was 8. In his 12th year he destroyed all the idols. He found the Book of the Law. Huldah prophecy that Judah will be destroyed. Then he keeps the Passover. They did lots of Sacrifices

Josiah destroys the idols

561 BCE

In his 12 year he destroys all the idol and 4 years prior he started to seek God. He even goes into Israel and destroys the golden calf and burns the bones of the priest who worshiped it. Fulfilling the prophesy.

Josiah eighteenth year

He found the book of the law.

Josiah dies in battle

552 BCE

He goes to war against Egypt and dies in battle. Eve n though the Pharaoh said God blessed him and if he fights him he will be fighting God. But he goes anyway in disguises and gets shot by an arrow and dies.

Jehoahaz King of Judah

He was evil. He ruled for 3 months. He was Deposed by the king of Egypt.

Jehoiakim king of Judah

Period: 552 BCE to 541 BCE

He was evil. He ruled 11 years. Nebuchadnezzer king of Babylon fought against him and Jehoiakim lost. Then he rebelled and Babylon came in again and took over. He was killed.

Jehoiachin King of Judah

541 BCE

He was evil. He ruled 3 months and 10 days. He rebelled against Babylon. Nebuchnezzar took him to Babylon and made his brother king. He died in slavery.

Zedekiah king of Judah

Period: 541 BCE to 530 BCE

He was evil and ruled 11 years. He rebelled against king neuchadnezzer. Babylon comes in and burns the city down. And gets killed.
