Samuel's Life

Period: 1129 BCE to 1017 BCE

Samuel lived till he was 112 much longer than anyone else in the time he lived. He died because of natural causes. His father was Elkanah and he was from the tribe of Levi.

Sauls Life

Period: 1082 BCE to 1010 BCE

Saul lived 72 years. He died by committing suicide in one of the battles he was in. His dad was Kish and he was from the tribe of the Benjamin.

Saul is Anointed as King

1076 BCE

Saul was anointed king when he came to Samuels house to find the donkeys. Saul did not want to be king so after he was anointed he continued to work in the fields. Eventually Saul came to the place and lived there.

Saul Sins

1062 BCE

After Saul was anointed as king for a couple years then he became to get prideful and arrogant. When Samuel told Saul to go against the Amalekites and to kill everything and to not keep anything for themselves. Since he did not listen to Samuel and did not kill everyone and kept some of the sheep he was rejected as king.

David's Life

Period: 1040 BCE to 970 BCE

David lived to the age of 70. David died because of natural causes. His dad was Jesse and he was from the tribe of Judah.

David is Anointed as king

1029 BCE

When the lord had punished Saul for his actions he sent Samuel to go anoint another king. Samuel comes to Jesse's house to anoint one of his sons but he went through all of jesses sons and he had not seen the one. then he asked if there were anymore sons and Jesse said that there was one out shepherding the sheep and Samuel said that is the one and he anointed David the Sheppard over Israel.

David Plays the Lyre for Saul

1026 BCE

When Saul became to get very distressed his servants had an idea that David should play the lyre for him. While David played it calmed Saul's evil spirit. One time when he was playing he was saying Psalms 23 and when he said thou anointest my head with oil that made saul very mad.

David kills Goliath

1025 BCE

David killed Goliath before he became king. Goliath was estimated to be around 10-12 feet tall. The average Israelite is about 5 feet. That mean that Goliath was over half the height of David but David was not afraid.

Saul Beginnings to hate David

1024 BCE

Saul was becoming very jealous of David. And one of the times while David was playing his lyre for the king, Saul decided to throw his spear at David to pin him against the wall. But that did not work and eventually David began to fear for his life.

Jonathan sends a message to David

1020 BCE

Saul was getting madder and madder at David. So David had an idea that he would not come to the palace from any meal. if it was safe to come back to the place Jonathan would send an arrow before the rock it would be safe to come home if it went beyond the rock David was supposed to flee for his life.

David Spares Saul's Life a Second time

1014 BCE

David has been running away from Saul for a very long time but David could have ended that. David had two scenarios in which he could have killed Saul. The second time was when David went down to Saul's camp and he could have killed Saul with his own spear instead he just took his water jug and returned it to him the next day.

Saul asks to talk to a Medium

1011 BCE

There was a battle that was going on and saul wanted to know if he was going to win. The problem was that Samuel was dead and he had no one to tell him. So he got an idea and he decided that he was going to have a witch to call Samuel from the dead and then Samuel would tell him whether he would win. And so saul did that and it all went as planned and so when Samuel was raised from the dead he told saul that he would lose the war and that he would die. And in battle, he and his sons died.

King Hiram's Life

Period: 1000 BCE to 947 BCE

King Hiram was the king over Tyre. He was the person who gave a lot of supplies to Solomon for building the temple. Because he was located at the sea an was able to go to a lot of different land.

David Shows Kindness to Mephibosheth

997 BCE

One day David asked one of sauls servant if their was anyone left in the house of Saul. Sauls servant says that there was one person and his name was Mephibosheth. When Mephibosheth came to the palace he was afraid that David was going to kill but instead he let him eat at his table every day.

David and Bathsheba

992 BCE

David was walking on the roof of the palace and he saw a woman who was taking a bath and her name was Bathsheba. And when he saw her he said to go get her and his servants got her for him. And that evening they committed adultery. David tried to cover up his sin by having Uriah come home from battle and make him go home and made him drunk. But nothing was working and so eventually he ended up killing one of his mighty men who was Uriah.

David Numbers Isreal

974 BCE

One day Satan tempted David and told him that he should number his people even though God had told David not to. David counted his army and he was very happy with how many people in his army he had. But then God spoke to David though a prophet and David was punished for what he had done.

Solomon is Crowned as King

968 BCE

Before David died he anointed Solomon as king over Isreal. This made Solomon's other siblings mad because they wanted to be king. Since David did not want any trouble in his family after he died he decided to anoint Solomon before he died so everyone would know.

Solomon's Reign

Period: 968 BCE to 928 BCE

Solomon was 58 when he died from Natural Causes. His Dad was David who was King before and he was from the tribe of Judah. Also his mom was Bathsheba.

Solomon asking for Wisdom

967 BCE

Solomon thinks he needs wisdom because he was young. When god asks him what he would like his says wisdom. But God gives him honor, peace, wealth, and wisdom.

Solomon shows his wisdom

966 BCE

There were two ladies and they were fighting over whose son was whose and which women's son died. So they decided to go to the King which at this time was Solomon. He said that they would cut the baby in half and then each women could have a part of the baby. The women whose son it actually was said that the other women could have the baby since she did not want her son killed. Solomon decided that the baby belong to the women who did not want her son to die.

Solomon building the temple

957 BCE

Solomon used a lot of materials to build the temple for the lord. Solomon built the temple in the beginning of his reign. When Solomon was building the temple King Hiram helped him with the building and with some of the supplies.

The Queen of Sheba visits Solomon

941 BCE

The Queen of Sheba came to see Solomon so she could see his wisdom. Solomon showed her all around the temple and his place. He also showed her all of his riches. The Queen of Sheba also brought him a lot of expensive gifts.

Solomon's Fall

935 BCE

Solomon even though he was a good king as his reign continued he got bad. Solomon had a lot of wives and his wives worshiped a lot of different Idols. So Solomon built temples for his wife's gods.

The Division of the Kingdom

931 BCE

Some of the tribes decided that they did not want to be under the roll of rehoboam so they revolted. The country which used to be Isreal was now split in two. The two countries were named Isreal and Judah.

Rehoboam's Reign

Period: 928 BCE to 911 BCE

Rehoboam reign over Judah for 17 years. Rehoboam was the son of Naamah the Ammonite. The bible says the Rehoboam did what was evil in the eyes of the Lord.

Jeroboam's Reign

Period: 928 BCE to 907 BCE

Jeroboam was the king over Israel for 22 years. Jeroboam died at the age of 63 years old. The king that came was Nadab.

Jeroboam and the Golden Calf

920 BCE

Jeroboam decided that he would build two Golden Calves. He built the golden calf before the temple so that they would go to the golden calves before the temple. Jeroboam was punished by God because he did this sin.

Abijam's (Abijah) Reign

Period: 911 BCE to 908 BCE

Abijam reigned for 3 years over Judah. Abijam had two names Abijam and Abijah. Abijam was a bad king.

Asa's Reign

Period: 908 BCE to 867 BCE

Asa reigned for 41 years in Judah. As did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. Asa removed the idols and his mother from being Queen of Judah. Asa fought a battle against Baasha king of Isreal.

Nadab's Reign

Period: 907 BCE to 906 BCE

Nadab reigned over Israel for two years. Nadab walked in the sins of his father. Nadab was then killed by Baasha and then Baasha became king over Israel.

Baasha's Reign

Period: 906 BCE to 883 BCE

Baasha reigned for 24 years in Isreal. Baasha's father was Abijah who ruled before him. Baasha did what was evil in the eyes of the Lord.

Asa's Battle

887 BCE

This happened in the first ten years of his reigning. Asa goes to war and fights a million men. Asa's men killed all the men of the Ethiopian warriors and they got a lot of spoil.

Zimri's Reign

884 BCE

Zimri was king over Isreal for seven days. When Zimri became king the people were in the middle of a war. So when Zimri was in his house and he saw the enemy approaching him he started the house on fire and he died inside.

Elah's Reign

Period: 883 BCE to 882 BCE

Elah reigned for 2 years over Isreal. He was the son of Baasha the King before him. Elah did what was evil in the sights of the lord.

Asa's God

882 BCE

Asa destroys all the idols and prepared the altar of the lord. Asa trusted and obeyed God because of what all he did. And if anyone did not want to be a follower of God they would be killed.

Omri's Reign

Period: 882 BCE to 871 BCE

Omri reigned for 12 years over Isreal. Omri did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. The bible says that Omri did more evil than the kings before him.

Ahab's Reign

Period: 873 BCE to 850 BCE

Ahab reigned over Isreal for 22 years. He was the son of Omri who was King before him. In the Bible, it says that Omri did more evil than all the kings before him including Omri.

Asa's Sickness

872 BCE

This happened in the 36 year of his reign. Asa got a disease in his foot and so he could not go fight in any war. So he gave money to the King of Samaria so he would go and fight against the Israelites.

Jehosophat's Reign

Period: 870 BCE to 846 BCE

Jehosophat reigned over Judah for 25 years. Jehosophat was 35 years old when he became king. Jehosophat walked in the ways of his father and did what was right in the eyes of the lord.

Ahab and Naboth

865 BCE

Ahab goes to Naboth to asks for vineyard and Naboth says no. So Ahab goes home and lays on his bed and pouts. And Jezebel went and told a lie and they stoned Naboth to death. And Ahab was punished and told that he would be eaten by dogs.

God Provides for Elijah

857 BCE

Their was a drought in the land of Israel and Elijah was very hungry and thirsty. The lord brought water to him and had ravens to give him bread. Then he was traveling and their was a widow and Elijah asks for bread. But the widow says that she and her son were going to make the bread and die. But she gave the bread to Elijah and her supplies never ran out.

Mount Caramel

855 BCE

Elijah and the prophets of Baal go up onto Mount Caramel and they see whose God is real. The prophets of Baal were yelling and cutting themselves but Baal did not respond. So Elijah started to mock the prophets of Baal. But Elijah prayed to God and the fire came down and burned the sacrifice.

The Mountain of God

855 BCE

Elijah is running away from Jezebel because she wanted to kill him. When Elijah was in one of the caves a Angel came and gave him food and Elijah did not sleep or eat for 40 days. The Elijah runs to another cave and God talks to him. And God shows that he is in a small whisper.

Ahab and Ben-Hadad

853 BCE

Ben-Hadad wants to have all of Ahab's Silver, Gold, Wives, and Children. Ben-Hadad thinks that it will be very easy to conquer them so he got drunk. Then the Israelites beat the Syrians lot to the Israelites even though the the Syrians had more people.

Ahaziah's Reign

Period: 852 BCE to 850 BCE

Ahaziah only reigned over Isreal for 2 years. Moab was rebelling against Israel and so Ahaziah goes to war against. And they fought in the city and Ahaziah was on the roof and crossed the lattice and he was injured. Then Ahaziah died because Elijah said that it was going to happen.

Joram's Reign

Period: 851 BCE to 842 BCE

Joram was king for 8 years over Judah. His father was Ahab who was the king before him. He did what was evil in the eyes of the Lord.

Elijah goes to Heaven

849 BCE

Elijah was taken to heaven in a flaming chariot. The only other person who saw the chariot was Elisha. Before Elijah died he asked Elisha what he wanted and Elisha said that he wanted twice the times of the miracles of Elijah.

Jehoram's Reign

Period: 849 BCE to 837 BCE

Jehoram reigned in Israel for 12 years. He was the son of Jehosophat. He did what was evil in the eyes of the lord.

Elisha and the Bears

846 BCE

Elisha was walking around and the kids started to tease him by calling him a baldy. We think that the reason he was bald was because he was mourning the departure of his friend. And so Elisha called a curse down and the bears came and ate all of the kids.

Ahaziah's Reign

843 BCE

Ahaziah reigned for one year over Judah. His father was Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat. Ahaziah was a bad king.

Jehu's Reign

Period: 842 BCE to 814 BCE

Jehu reigns for 28 years in Isreal. Jehu kills Ahaziah, Jehoram, and Jezebel. Jehu is considered a good and bad king.

Athaliah's Reign

Period: 842 BCE to 836 BCE

Athaliah reigned for 6 years over Judah. She was a evil King and did what was wrong in the eyes of the Lord. Since she killed all of Jehoshaphat family she is now in the line of Jesus.

Elisha and the Poisonous Stew

840 BCE

Elisha was having guests and so he decided to make stew. so someone went out and they gathered herbs and wild gourds since their was a famine in the land. And one of the guests smelled the soup and said that their is death in the pot. So Elisha poured Flour into the soup and and then it was not poisonous.

Elisha and the Shunamite Women

838 BCE

Whenever Elisha came into a certain town he would stop at the same woman's place for supper. So the women had an idea to build a house for Elisha to stay in when he came. And since Elisha knew that the Shunamite women wanted a son because she and her husband could not have any kids. So as a thank you gift Elisha gave the Shunamite woman a son.

Elisha and Naaman

836 BCE

Naaman had leprosery and he wanted to have it healed so he went to Elisha. Elisha said that he needed to go to the Jordan River and go under the water 7 times to be healed. Naaman did not want to go to the Jordan river because it was dirty and had alligators in it but he desperately wanted to be healed so he went anyways. Naaman went to the Jordan and he dunked himself 7 times and on the last time he came out and he was healed. The bible says that he had skin like a baby and Naaman rejoiced.

Joash's Reign

Period: 836 BCE to 798 BCE

Joash became king at the age of 7. Joash was king for 40 years. Joash was a good king at the beginning of his reign while Jehoiada was helping him reign. Then after Jehoiada died Joash began to listen to the other people and he began to worship idols with the other people. Joash gets a message from Zachariah (Jehoiada's Son) and Joash did not like that and so he kills his adoptive brother, cousin and High Priest. He killed Zachariah in the temple. Joash reigned in Judah. Joash was a bad king.

Jehoahaz's Reign

Period: 817 BCE to 800 BCE

Jehoahaz was the king over Isreal. He reigned for 17 years. He did what was evil in the sight of the lord. He was the son of Jehu.

Jehoash's Reign

Period: 800 BCE to 784 BCE

Jehoash was king over Isreal. He reigned for 16 years. He did what was evil in the eyes of the lord. He was the son of Jehoahaz.

Amaziah's Reign

Period: 798 BCE to 769 BCE

Amaziah reigned in Judah for 29 years. He was the son of Joash. Amaziah did what was right in the eyes of the lord.

Jeroboam's ll Reign

Period: 788 BCE to 747 BCE

He was the son of Joash. He reined in Isreal for 41 years. He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord.

Uzziah's Reign

Period: 785 BCE to 733 BCE

He was only 16 years old when he became king. He reigned for 52 years in Judah. He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord.
Uzziah once went into the Temple to offer incense even though he was not suppose to. So when the priests came in to tell him that he was not allowed to do that he got mad and leprosy broke out on his head.

Jotham's Reign

Period: 759 BCE to 743 BCE

Jotham was king over Judah for 16 years. His mothers name was Jerushah. He did what was right in the eyes of the lord.

Shallum's Reign

747 BCE

He was the son of Jabesh. He reigned over Isreal for 1 Month. He was a evil king.

Zechariah's Reign

Period: 747 BCE to 747 BCE

He was the son of Jeroboam ll. He reigned for 6 months over Isreal. He did what was evil in the sight of the lord.

Menahem's Reign

Period: 747 BCE to 737 BCE

He reigned for 10 Years over Isreal. He was the son of Gadi. He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. Something that he did was that he cut open the pregnant women and ripped the babies out. That made everyone scared of him.

Ahaz's Reign

Period: 743 BCE to 727 BCE

Ahaz reigned over Judah for 16 years. He did what was evil in the sight of the lord. Ahaz offered his son as a burnt offering.

Pekaniah's Reign

Period: 737 BCE to 735 BCE

He reigned over Isreal for 2 years. He was the son of Menahem who was king before him. He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord

Pekah's Reign

Period: 735 BCE to 715 BCE

Pekah reigned over Isreal for 20 years. He did what was evil in the sight of the lord. He was the son of Remaliah.

Hoshea's Reign

Period: 732 BCE to 724 BCE

He reigned for 9 years over Isreal. He did evil in the sight of the Lord. During his reign he was attacked and destroyed by Assyria.

Hezekiah's Passover

727 BCE

Hezekiah became king and he wanted to have the temple consecrates and have all the priest do it. Since they were not ready with the consecration by the time of the Passover so they had to wait for the Passover. And when they had the Passover there were a l0ot of people that came.

Hezekiah's Reign

Period: 727 BCE to 698 BCE

Hezekiah reigned in Judah for 29 years. He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. He also consecrated the temple.

Hezekiah and the Assyrians

717 BCE

So the Assyrians wanted more land and so they came to fight against them. They want the People to be scared of the Assyrians. So Sennacherib sent a letter to Hezekiah and it said that God was nothing and so Hezekiah prayed to God and God sent the angel of the lord and he killed 185,000 people during the night.

Hezekiah's Sickness

713 BCE

Hezekiah was sick and so the lord sent Isiah to tell Hezekiah was going to die so he was too prepare himself. And so Hezekiah repents and the lord shows him a sign and the sun moves backward 10 hours. And Hezekiah had 15 years added to his life.

Hezekiah and the Babylonians

712 BCE

The Babylonians knew that they sun was moved back 10 hours so they wanted to come and visit him. So Hezekiah showed them the city and then he took them into the temple not just the court yard but the holy places also. and since the Babylonians were Gentiles they were not allowed to go into the temple. So Hezekiah was punished for this sin. And so his sons would have to go to the king of Babylon and Hezekiah responded the word of the lord is good, their shall be peace and security in my days.

Manasseh's Reign

Period: 698 BCE to 642 BCE

Manasseh reigned over Judah for 55 years. He was the son of Hephzibah. He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. He was called the Worst king of Judah and he had the longest reign over all the kings.

Amon's Reign

Period: 641 BCE to 640 BCE

Amon reigned in Judah for 2 years. He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. He walked in the ways of he father Manasseh.

Josiah's Reign

Period: 639 BCE to 609 BCE

He reigned for 31 years over Judah. He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. Josiah and his servants found the book of the law in the temple and they began to do Passover.

Jehoahaz's Reign

Period: 609 BCE to 609 BCE

Jehoahaz reigned for 3 months in Judah. He was 23 years old when he made himself king after Josiah his dad died. He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord.

Jehoiakim's Reign

Period: 608 BCE to 598 BCE

Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he became king. He reigned 11 years in Judah. He did hat was evil in the sight of the lord.

Jehoiachin's Reign

Period: 597 BCE to 597 BCE

He was 18 years old when he became king. He reigned for 3 months and 10 days over Judah. He did what was evil in the sight of the lord.

Zedekiah's Reign

Period: 596 BCE to 586 BCE

Zedekiah was 21 years old when he became king. He reigned for 11 years over Judah. He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord.
