    When Russia invaded Ukraine, many people found out through social media. Updates on the war were posted, and many videos of mass destruction.
  • Gaza/Israel War

    The news of this war was spread on social media. This led many people to dig into what people and corporations were supporting the war. This led to celebrity cancellations, and boycotts on companies. Protests were organized on social media, and coverage on these protests were shared on social media.
  • Trump Gets Shot

    During one of his rallies before the election, Trump was barely missed by a what would have been fatal gunshot wound. This was spread all of social media, and many people used the videos shared on social media to figure out what happened, and how the Secret Service didn't see this shooter.
  • Target Boycott

    When President Trump was sworn into office, one of the first things he did was to get rid of DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion). Target openly said that they would not be following DEI anymore, which led to mass infuriation on social media. People posted themselves quitting Target. Many people came together on social media to influence others to boycott Target because of this.
