She married Tiberius Gracchus the Elder, had 12 children with him(only three would survive childhood), and still managed to live to the age of 90. Two of these children were the famous Gracchi brothers. She was very politically active during the political careers of her sons. -

The Temple of Jupiter Stator
It was during this time that the Temple of Jupiter Stator was completed. It was the first building in Rome to be made entirely out of marble. Its style and design would continue to be present in other Roman Architecture. Its style is even sometimes seen in American architecture such as the Lincoln Memorial. -

Livia Drusilla

She was the mother of emperor TIberius and the paternal grandmother of emperor Claudius. During the reign of Tiberius, she had a lot of unofficial power in the government, the senate wanted to give her the title, "Mater Patriae"(Mother of the Fatherland). -

Considered to be a madman of an emperor. He came into power when his mother murdered his stepfather, Claudius. Nero later had his mother and his first wife executed. Nero later married a male slave that he had had castrated. It was during his rule that the "Great Fire of Rome" burnt down much of Rome which he blamed on the Christians. -
