Adolf's Hitler's Death
Adolf Hitler, burrowed away in a refurbished air-raid shelter, consumes a cyanide capsule, then shoots himself with a pistol, on April 30, 1945, as his “1,000-year” Reich collapses above him.

Atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki
On August 6, 1945, during World War II (1939-45), an American B-29 bomber dropped the world’s first deployed atomic bomb over the Japanese city of Hiroshima. The explosion wiped out 90 percent of the city and immediately killed 80,000 people; Three days later, a second B-29 dropped another A-bomb on Nagasaki, killing an estimated 40,000 people.

End of the World War II

After the Third Reich submitted to Western and Russian demands, Germany’s unconditional surrender was signed at 2.41pm on 7 May in Rheims. However, the war continued to rage in the Far East. Mussolini`s Death
Mussolini and his mistress, Claretta Petacci, were executed on April 28, 1945, in Mezzegra Italy. Following the liberation of Rome by Allied forces, the pair had attempted to escape to Switzerland but were captured by the Italian underground on April 27, 1945.
