After Germany threatened to take Sudetenland by force, the British Prime Minister at the time offered Sudetenland to Germany if they decide to stop expanding their army. In 1939 Germany took the rest of Czechoslovakia.

On December 7 1941 Japan launched a surprise attack on the United States with the intention of crippling the U.S. naval force. After crippling the navy force the U.S. went into war mode and declared war on Japan.

Japanese Internment Camps
After the bombing of Pearl Harbor , Americans were scared that there were Japanese spies inside the Unites States. FDR would sign Executive Order 9066 which would relocate Japanese Americans in interment camps.

Battle of Midway
The battle started on June 4th 1942. Japan had wanted to seize Midway to continue expanding their empire. Japanese planes would attack Midway heavily, while their battleships would escape U.S. fire. Eventually the U.S. would sink the Japanese ships. This battle would eventually be considered the turning point of the Pacific War.

Guadalcanal Campaign
The Guadalcanal campaign started on the 7th of August 1942. It is the first major Allied offensive attack in the Pacific War. After Japan lost the 6 month battle, Japanese leaders started to realize that Japan in now on the defensive.

The Normandy invasion also known as D-Day was an Allied invasion of France to take it back from Germany. D-Day put a massive American army from one side of Germany where the Soviets were going to push until they get Germany from the other side.

After the U.S. lost Philippines in 1941, General MacArthur started planning on taking back the Philippines. After battles in Midway and Guadalcanal. MacArthur took back the Philippines from Japan.

Yalta Meeting
The Big Three met to decide what to do with Germany after WW2. The meeting lasted from February 4th til February 11th 1945 .They discussed how the blame will not solely be put on Germany. They also discussed about what the borders of countries will look like. The Soviet Union also decided to join the United Nations. FDR would not appear for the next conference.

On April 30th, the leader of Nazi Germany ,Adolf Hitler, committed suicide in his bunker with his wife. Hitler swallowed a cyanide pill then shot himself in the head. Many people believe that Hitler faked his suicide and went to Argentina.

After the Allies took France back, they started to push Germany back to the center on the west side side while the Russians would push on the eastern side. Eventually with Nazi's pushed in the middle, they surrendered. Hitler had already killed himself.

Los Alamos was where scientists would develop and build the first atomic bomb. The bomb was detonated in Los Alamos. The development of the bomb was pivotal for ending the war in Japan as the U.S. dropped two on Japan.

Potsdam Meeting
This was the last of the Big Three meeting during WW2. It started on July 17th as the leaders of Britain( Winston Churchill then replaced by Clement Attlee), United States (Harry S. Truman), and the Soviet Union (Joseph Stalin) discussed what to do with the end of the war in the Pacific. Truman also mentioned the atomic bomb as a big weapon.

Hiroshima bombing

After the war in Europe ended, the U.S. was still fighting in the Pacific. FDR's successor Harry S. Truman had to choose to bomb Japan or to invade it by land. After, talking about it during the Potsdam meeting, Truman choose to bomb Japan with the Atomic bomb. Hiroshima was bombed first followed by Nagasaki two days later. Japan later surrendered after the second bombing.
