First Day of School
The first day of school was boring but fun. The boring part was the unpacking. The fun part was the activities. Miss Sinda came on the first day of school. Also the first day of school is when you meet your friends. -
We Meet Miss Sinda
Mrs. Sinda Is nice and Awesome teacher she is great. Mrs. Sinda is awesome.she is a Good student teacher. And she helps Us with math,reading. She is a really great teacher. -
We Meet Mrs. Duray
Mrs Duray is a good teacher. Mrs Duray makes a good class she helped us with everything she taught us math, writing ,reading ,science. We played a lot she gave us iPads that's awesome. She loves wizards of OZ, packers technology, kids teaching, reading. That's about mrs Duray -
Bucket Stools
We sit on bucket stools. At the beginning of the school year you get to make your own bucket stool. My friends and every body else have bucket stools. You can make it with what ever you want but nothing inappropriate. -
Classmates
We had 19 classmates in the beginning of the year. During the year we started to get a lot of other new classmates. Throughout the year we got new students and their names are Almarissa, Nevaeh, Alex, and Dominic. We also had special holidays with these new students and it was fun. They have caught up on our learning even though they were not here last year. But it doesn't matter if they were here last year because they already have done there learning but this year they also learn our way -
KidBlog
Kidblog helps us write and spell and learn how to use a keyboard. We can write stories and about animals that live. On kidblog you can log in and comment on other kids blog. On kidblog the teacher has to okay your blog so people can comment on it. The teacher also has to okay your comments to other people. Check out our blog! -
We Raised Butterflies!
In September we got caterpillars that would soon turn in to butterflies. The caterpillars were doing well for a couple of days. But most caterpillars died we do not know how they died. We had a couple caterpillars that survived and turned into butterflies. -
Morning Routine
For the morning routine we unpacko our pack backpacks we set out our planners so the teachers can sign them. then we check the smart board to see what we need to do for the morning routine games and mail and gmail. when the bell rings we do the pelage of allegiance. After that we go to the meeting area and do lunch chooses. Finlay we write and read. That is the end of morning routine. -
Butterfly Pavilion
In October we went to the Butterfly Pavilion. We had parent helpers on the field trip with us. We went on a scavenger hunt. We took photos of what we saw at the pavilion. We had to search for insects, plants and much more things. -
Using Figurative Language!
Onomatopoeia! Hyperbole! Simile! Metaphor! These are all our figurative language. we use figurative language for our writing subjects. And onomatopoeia is a sound word like plop or pow. A Hyperbole is an over exaggeration sentence like: you grew like 20 feet! A simile is comparing to unlike things using like or as. This is an example sentence of a simile. Grandma snores like a bear. A metaphor is comparing to a unlike things without using the words like or as. An example sentence is: this class -
Miss Sinda Leaving Us
On December 4th 2012 we had a goodbye party for Miss. Sinda. The class gave Miss. Sinda presents so she could remember the students. We had party for her, we had food and refreshments. We went outside to get rid of our energy. We were sad that Miss. Sinda was leaving us. Miss. Sinda brought her dog Mowgli the class played with him we loved Mowgli. -
Temperature Changing in Classroom
In the beginning of the year it was freezing in our classroom! It was so cold we had to wear coats in the classroom! The next day it was still cold that Mrs. Duray had to call Mr. Rich. When Mr. Rich was done talking to Mrs. Duray he said "You might need to call someone who can fix the heater for your classroom." When the other person came it took a few days for our heater to get fixed and now we are back to normal. We do not have to wear coats in the classroom anymore! -
iPads Delivered!
When Miss. Sinda rolled in the iPad carts we all screamed with joy! Mr Baker was talking to us about our iPad situation. He also showed us a video to help us in our iPad pioneering. Mrs.Duray called us out by names to get our iPads. Then we all explored the world of iPads! When she saw us on our iPads exploring she called us up to get our big and little stylists. For the rest of the day we pretty much only explored iPad world. -
iPad Apps
The apps mrs. Duray put for are awesome. We love the apps most of are learning. We use mail to communicate. Sushi monster helps us with math. We use google drive to write and read. You get make a lesson in the app educreations. Most of the boys like the app tinker box the girls is mail. -
Cursive
We work on cursive after we get back from specials. Once we are finished with cursive we have a math notebook you work on. When you do cursive it is mostly like connecting letters but in a different form. You have to know cursive to get into bigger grades. Cursive helps us write faster. -
TCAP
The nerve recking feeling. The tingling in your guts! Test test test! In TCAP there is three different categories math reading and writing. Study study study! This takes a lot of concentration. TCAP TCAP TCAP! We know that this is going to go to the states records. This was are first time taking TCAP of recking is that? Fun Fun Fun! Besides being so nervous you have fun taking TCAP too! TCAP!!!!! -
Valentines Day Party!
CANDY CANDY CANDY! We were all on sugar rushes when we were done with our candy. We all had cupcakes and cookies and lets not forget the Hershey bars. HEARTS HEARTS HEARTS! Valentines day was sure a love day! We all had hearts in our card baskets. VALENTINES VALENTINES VALENTINES! -
Miss Vanessa
Miss Vanessa helped us during the time of intervention which is 11 o'clock. She helped us with our work study on an app called four pics one word.She helped us during 11 o'clock everyday because she got a break off college. Miss Vanessa helped some people with reading because she got here in the morning during writing time. Miss Vanessa was a great helper she helped us with reading writing and word study. We were sad when she left to go to college, but she is having a great time in college and -
Virtual Field Trips
We went on a live field trip we watched egg farm video and how eggs get delivered and how the colors are different. The rooster chicken it takes a couple of weeks to lay an egg. White eggs come from white chickens. The egg will crack and be a baby. The egg will crack in 4 weeks. -
Research Projects
We started researching subjects that we chose and wondered about. We started in the writing life cycle by gathering ideas the first couple of days we gathered ideas on what we were interested in. Then when every body had their topic we researched at are own past. When most of the class was done with their research report we did are bibliography and printed are stuff. Mr. Friedman Visits Us
A day in April during science and social studies time Mr. Friedman came for a visit to see how we use our iPads. We all split up into different groups to show him how we use our iPads during the different subjects of the day. There was writing, reading, word study/intervention time, science and social studies, math, specials and edmodo and email. He came over to one group then we would show him different apps and what we use them for. That was a super Mr. Friedman day!
